I watched like 3 episodes of that. Wouldn't call it terrible (I've certainly seen FAR worse) but it didn't hold my interest well.

I recently started watching Mortal Kombat: Defenders Of The Realm..it's so bad, and so cheesy. XD Honestly I'm only watching it because I'm a Mortal Kombat fan and I wanna see what happens, but so far it makes me laugh. At least theres ass kicking in every single episode pretty much though, even though it is really choppy and heavily censored.

I assume you mean cartoons only, since this is the animation thread. Yes, there are some good shows on instant watch:
Rocko's Modern Life
Invader Zim
Aaah! Real Monsters
Rugrats
Angry Beavers
Spongebob Squarepants (seasons 1-3 only)
Fairly Oddparents (seasons 1 and 2 only)

That's all I can think of. So far, Nickelodeon has been better about making their shows available on instant watch than Cartoon Network has, so the list is all their stuff.

Mortal Kombat: Defenders Of The Realm

I totally forgot I used to watch that cartoon when I was young and it first aired! I remember thinking where the hell is all the blood when I first watched it and was too young to understand they couldn't put fatalities in a children's show.

Nick's been better at releasing shows in general. I think the aforementioned PPG set and Samurai Jack are the ONLY original CN shows to get complete dvd releases.

Just look at the recent Dexter's Lab set. Missing a short and no extras.

Just watched the first two episodes of Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm due to WrathOskvro reminding me of the show. Let me summarize what my thoughts were as I watched the episodes:

WTF. Jax just said he likes Sub-Zero but doesn't want to marry him and is making bad ice puns.

WTH. Sub-Zero sounds like a little girl. I think both Liu Kang and Sonya want to get with Sub-Zero (romantically). Wow. Sonya's kind of a bitch. O snap Scorpion just showed up.

WTF. Scorpion constantly sounds like he's trying to take a shit. Apparently Scorpion died, then crawled out of hell as a walking corpse so Scorpion's an intelligent zombie?

LOL. Jax keeps saying funny 90's slang like "fresh."

WTH. Raiden exists solely as a a plot device which appears via teleporting into the scene, moves the plot, then disappears via teleporting out of the scene.

WTF. Sub-Zero just froze a random dinosaur thing that came out of nowhere, had nothing to do with anything, and no one talked about.

Man I only have a vague memory that MK: Defenders of the Realm even exists. All I can remember about it is that I thought it was rather silly that someone thought it was a good idea to take one of the most controversial and violent game franchises ever (at least for its time) and turn it into a children's tv show.

Cartoons on DVD.... it'd be easier to list the shows that DO have complete runs available. Quality sets are few and far between.

The Mighty Avengers is AMAZING and is the only currently running, non-comedy cartoon out there that's any good. It is Marvel's animated equivalent to Justice League Unlimited. Unfortunately there haven't been any new episodes for a little while.

Spectacular Spider-Man was fantastic as well, if Mighty Avengers is Marvel's Justice League Unlimited, then I might go as far as to say that Spectacular Spider-Man is their Batman TAS. Too bad the show was canned after its second season when the disney buyout happened.

I did enjoy Spectacular Spider-Man, but I wouldn't put it in the same caliber as Batman: TAS. Batman: TAS raised the bar for action cartoons with incredible storytelling, great voice actors, and a very distinct art-style. Like I said, Spectacular Spider-Man was good, just not that good IMO. Personally I enjoyed the 90s Spider-Man Animated Series a lot more than Spectacular Spider-Man.

I remember I enjoyed it. I remember I enjoyed that whole era of USA Cartoons, which were basically the last of the USA cartoons. It aired in a block along with WildC.A.T.s, Savage Dragon, UltraForce, and Double Dragon. An action cartoon kid's dream line-up.
