I've got two US Indian pennies from 1880 (may be 1881), but my Mother has a Roman coin from the very, very early A.D.'s. It's one of those "give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar" coins. Always one upping me that woman is.Hobie-wan wrote: Nice. I have a 41, 3 42s, and a 45 myself. My oldest coin is an 1883 Indian penny and my most interesting is a 1938 10 Reichspfennig that my English grandfather had, presumably he acquired it in WW II.

Two vintage razor blades amongst other things. A Charlex Number 60 and a Wanie razor.Luke wrote:Not sure what you are trying to clean, but CLR usually does the trick on removing rust and leaving a nice finish.elmagicochrisg wrote:Ticked: Removed rust from some stuff with vinegar. The red rust is gone, but the blades are both grey/black now.
Don't think there's any way back, so I guess I fucked up...
Once you go black...

She absolutely balks at it merely on the grounds that it's "old" and in her mind "It's going to have super expensive parts because of it's age". I explain how it all works and that it's identical inside to my Si Civic Wagovan. She flips shit at me and says she wants a "New" sedan because she wants to start a family soon. As in within a year soon.
My sister is 21 TWENTY ONE YEARS OLD.

Ticked: Two things. Firstly, my ps2 wont read any discs. I tried 3 different ones that always work and I keep getting the Disc Read Error screen. I even turned the ps2 on its side and no luck. I really wanted to start God of War today so unless I can get my dad to take it apart and clean the laser (which he has done twice before and that worked in the past) Also its a really old model, like 2002 or maybe a launch model so Im lucky it still works. I might just get a slim since there cheaper and take up less space. Second thing is that since I couldnt play God of War, I thought I'd play the first Splinter Cell. This game is really difficult to me. I cant get past the first level. I hope the other games in the series arent as hard because I liked Conviction and wanted to play the earlier titles. I heard that Conviction was a good one to start on but Im the type of gamer who will rarely skip games in a series, unless its a series like Final Fantasy where the storys arent connected. Does anyone know if the older ones (or maybe just the first one) are really harder or do I just suck at Stealth games?

I was saving up money for a timing belt and water pump change. Finally last week I went and got all the new belts, two seals, one valve cover gasket and the water pump. Then I proceeded to swap it all out with the help of a buddy to prevent anything from ever going bad for another 100k miles.
The only other things thing I need to get to soon are a new wheel bearing because the one on my rear right wheel is dying ($60-$180 depending on manufacturer) and two new radiator hoses ($10 for the pair).
Basically, the car itself is absolutely mint and runs fantastically. I just did the big stuff on preventative maintenance as I didn't know when the last time the parts had been changed.

Smiled: Well, I ordered the wrong firewire cable from Newegg by mistake. I was close to going FFFUUUUUUUU but then I contacted them and they're giving me a refund, and I don't even have to ship the cable back!
So..hey, free cable.
