Re: Jade Empire & KOTOR Question
I played and beat them both several times on Xbox so I thought I'd get them on PC for a slightly different experience. I'm afraid that the Xbox versions will seem dated now. But the thing about me is I hate not using a controller.
Re: Jade Empire & KOTOR Question
Would Jade be better on a pc using the 360 controller then? I haven't played either of these but I really love Bioware's work and I want to pick them both up. Just want to make sure I get the best version, if in fact there is a best version. I don't have an X-Box but plan on getting one soon and KOTOR and Jade are the first two games I plan on aquiring if I don't get them on the pc.

Then get KOTOR on PC, and Jade on X-Box.

Thanks for the heads up. What about KOTOR 2? Is it even worth getting?Breetai wrote:Then get KOTOR on PC, and Jade on X-Box.

Re: Jade Empire & KOTOR Question
YES! Both KOTOR's are great. You like one you'll probably like the other and well, they're directly connected anyways.
Re: Jade Empire & KOTOR Question
And if you snag KOTOR 2 make sure you get the PC version. There's a fair amount of cut content (due to a looming deadline) that's been restored through addons, as well as various bugs.

Re: Jade Empire & KOTOR Question
The PC (and Mac) versions of Jade Empire were a "Special Edition" that did add some content to the game.
They're detailed here http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/932971-jade- ... faqs/47258
KoTOR 2 is very buggy on PC without 3rd party patches. I stopped playing the game when I wound up unable to leave an area because I was getting debug options instead of conversation choices.

I would think so. It'd be better in terms of content, runs at high resolution that sort of thing.
Personally I just used the KB/mouse for it, and it wasn't bad.
One of the bullet points for the PC release was customizable controls suited for KB/mouse or a control pad.

I haven't played the game on XBox, so I couldn't really say how they directly compare control-wise...but the PC version was fine.
