Caught up with Archer recently. Absolutely brilliant show. Also have Megas XLR and Venture Bros on my hard drive- have to get to those. On the last season of X-Men Evolution. I know people disliked it because of the high school thing, but IMO it was better than the original cartoon.

My friends are pretty fond of Young Justice- any opinions on it here?

Brilliant.

@AmishSamurai

I've been loving Young Justice. I'm ready for more new episodes, because its great. The first 3 episodes are kinda sluggish, but once the show hits its stride its a lot of fun.

Which reminds me, two more new CN shows I've been enjoying, Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. and The Looney Tunes Show.

I know people have complained about both of those shows because they're different, but that's what makes them work if you ask me. Mystery Inc. is the best Scooby Doo has ever been, with an overarching plot and genuinely interesting stories. Looney Tunes is very different from classic versions, but I enjoy the goofiness of it, and the show consistently makes me laugh, so in my mind its a success.

On the other hand, the source material is good and Spielberg makes very solid movies. He has a couple of duds but they are still not bad bad.
I'll agree 100% with you on the motion capture thing. And honestly, I don't get why they didn't just make a real life movie. For god sake's, if they did it with the much more bizzare world of Asterix, they can do it with Tin Tin.
But the asterix live action movie was awful :(. I think I prefer Tintin and Asterix and the like to be animated cartoons if they want to make a film or show of them - it loses a lot of the charm when they try to turn the comics into live action.

I used to love watching Cartoon Network when they ran all of those shows. I even loved watching the new shows that they began to show (Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, etc...) when they started filtering those into the programming. But now I really can't find anything to watch on CN save for the odd Looney Tunes reruns and some shows on Adult Swim. Cartoon Network used to be my life. I'd still watch those shows if they still aired them

I never thought it was funny. Believe me, I tried, but I felt nothing for it. And believe it or not, I like MTV. It gave us Celebrity Deathmatch and what is probably my favorite animated show, Daria. It saddens me that they had to cut out so much of the original music clips when they finally released it, but really, at this point, I'm just glad to be able to pop a DVD in and watch a couple of episodes. I didn't watch it for the background music anyway.

The only shows I watch now are Adventure Time and Regular Show. Both are amazingly awesome. I do miss Samurai Jack even though I only saw like five episodes when it was current, I really liked it because it reminded me of the Star Wars Clone Wars art style. Went back and watched some and it's a lot better than I remember.

Yeah, I liked Megas XLR too as well as Samurai Jack. However, nothing has ever compared to Disney's Gargoyles for a quality, original western cartoon as well as the amazing bunch of animated DC comic tv shows that begin with Batman: The Animated series and really peaked with the amazing Justice League Unlimited. I pretty much follow any animated movie Bruce Timm is involved with now like the awesome Batman: Under the Red Hood. I also used to enjoy the old X-Men cartoon on Fox years ago, and various Disney shows like Tailspin and Darkwing Duck. Of all I've seen though, Gargoyles and Justice League Unlimited have been the gold standard for me

I'm currently a Young Justice fan, but I don't think the show has hit its stride yet, but it will get there

I've never seen Gargoyles, though I've heard a lot of great stuff about it. I really should watch it, considering how much I loved Spectacular Spider-Man (same writer) I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Clerks: The Animated Series only had six episodes made and of that only two were ever actually aired. It really deserved at least a full season's worth.

Dilbert was a show I really liked a lot too. I've long hoped that Adult Swim would run it just so it might gain a resurgence similar to what AS did for Futurama.

I really enjoyed the X-Men animated series back when I used to watch it on Fox kids. The Venture Bros. is hysterical but I've only seen the first two seasons so far. I used to go wide-eyed for the gummy bears cartoon when I was little, but remember nothing but the epic theme song at this point. Oh, Gargoyles was a huge favorite of mine to the point where I would stay up until 2 am when I was in middle school to catch a couple episodes on some obscure channel.

It seems to me the amount of quality "kid's" cartoons has fallen off lately. The only cartoon on right now I always like to watch is Phineas and Ferb.

One of my favorite old shows is Ducktales. (WOO-HOO!) Love that show.

Also, is it just me or did Nickelodeon kill the real Spongebob back at the end of season 3 and replace him with an overly perky, much dumber, higher voiced, stand-in?
