I'm not sure if this should be counted, but a while ago I beat Falzer on Megaman Battle Network 6, and I managed to beat Bass this year. Technically I finished it last year, but Bass is a hella harder to beat than Falzer is. Falzer didn't even feel like a final boss.

I have a shitload of half finished games though, I plan on finishing Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Sonic Colors, Okami(Wii), MySims, Zelda: Link to The Past, Crash: Warped and Spyro 3.

I really hadn't gamed at all Jan-April of this year...
I have a fun summer ahead of me.

If the megaman thing counts, then I've beaten 1 game.

EDIT: Hold on... Well I'm sure everypony knows what Megaman Battle Network is like anyway, amazing series.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (Gc) *NEW*

Pretty Awesome game. Mario with Rpg elements could not go wrong. This was the second console RPG I've beaten and I really liked it. The special abilities, badges (which reminded me of a simple version of FFVII materia system) and the partners were really cool. The fact that all you attacks relied on timing and certain button patterns was interesting, but I grew onto it. I didn't like how you could only use one partner at a time, but it seemed reasonable compared to the difficulty of the game. Having Mario and two partners at once would be overkill. Great story, and Im looking forward to playing the other Paper Mario's sometime in the future. Next up will be Resistance Retribution or God of War, a game that I've put off for too long.

Games in italics have been beaten in previous years.
Games that have an underlined x followed by a number shows the number of times I have beaten them this year. (example: x3)
  • Red Dead Redemption (PS3)
    Demon's Souls (PS3)
    Dead Space: Ignition (PSN)
    Dead Space 2 (PS3)
    Costume Quest (PSN)
    Blueberry Garden (PC Download)
    Donkey Kong (NES)
    Donkey Kong 3 (NES)
    Donkey Kong Jr. (NES)
    Golf (NES)
    Mega Man 2 (NES)
    Mega Man 4 (NES)
    Kororinpa: Marble Mania (Wii)
    Mega Man 6 (NES)
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard (PS3)

Tomb Raider Underworld (PS3) - Note: Didn't play through it again, but mopped up the trophies need for platinum.

    The Conduit (Wii)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
    Red Steel (Wii)
    Puzzle Agent (PC Download)
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (GCN)
    Portal (PC Download)
    Hamsterball (PSN) x2
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 1 (PSN)
    Portal 2 (PS3)
    The Path (PC Download)
    Tag (PC Download)
    Narbacular Drop (PC Download)
    Sin and Punishment (Virtual Console)

    *New*Bubble Bobble (NES)
My favourite NES game by far. I could never beat the thing as a kid though because I could never get past stupid level 57. I wasn't aware that the NES version had 12 additional levels. Was a pleasant surprise. Gonna do a Super run of it soon (the hard mode).

    *New*Condemned 2: Bloodshot (PS3)
I got this for free when I bought my PS3, was an in store promo. For a long time I couldn't get my head around the first person melee system. But due to the PSN outage I gave it another shot. Finally understood the combat and the game became really fun and had some good atmosphere. Condemned 2 also has the infamous Bear sequence which was quite good. Shame the second half of the game, right after the bear, goes so downhill so fast it made me want to puke.

What starts as a cool and creepy horror game with unique first person melee combat devolves into a stupid paranormal / scifi FPS with no class at all. Devs really missed the mark, I hope if the third is ever made it retcons most of the second.

    *New*Uno (PSN)
Did a second run (First was December last year) of the single player tournament mode for some trophies. AI are still cheating asses in this game, but its Uno, so the online can be a fun distraction. Going to get the rest of the trophies except 1, which asks you to be in the top 50 on the leader board, which is now so time consuming that its practically impossible.
Total: 32

Up next?
My computer is out of commission for the time being while I wait on some new parts. And my first floor tv is not hooked up as we are preparing to reno the family room, leaving all my consoles packed up save my PS3 on the second floor TV. So since thats the case I plan on starting Saw (shut up, it was free), the second last game in my PS3's retail backlog. I also started Arctic Adventures: Polars Puzzles, a PSP mini I got for free.

24.Streets of Rage Remake (PC)
25.Venetica (Xbox 360)
26.Maximum Carnage (GEN)

I should have added Streets of Rage Remake a while ago. The game is brilliant, and its really too bad that its been brought down.

Venetica was a fun action rpg. I'll probably go back through it and knock out all of the achievements.

Maximum Carnage is an old favorite. Talking to finalfightcd about it made me want to play it again, so I've been working on it and I just beat it a few minutes ago. Such a classic.

Coming up, I'll be finishing Shadow of the Colossus, and from there, we'll see.

Serious Sam HD (PC)
Serious Sam: Second Encounter HD (PC)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (PC)
Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money DLC (PC)
Yoshi's Island (SNES)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA)
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS)
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS)
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS)

NEW: Bulletstorm (PC)
Totally linear game with no freedom or depth whatsoever. Just a series of set pieces. Seemingly starring Wolverine's long lost brother. A triumph of style over content. And yet I really enjoyed it for some reason. The characters were entertaining, some of the one-liners and jokes were honestly funny and some of the action was gloriously over the top.
Mostly harmless

Total: 44

WTF?! is a fun horizontal shmup from Capcom on the iPhone. Gameplay-wise, it really reminds me of the shmup sections of Astro Boy: Omega Factor on the GBA, which is an excellent game FYI. The graphics are nice to look at and the cutscenes between levels are surprisingly funny. The game is short, but its made to play like a game from yesteryear. It's a great arcade game that is definitely worth picking up if you have an iDevice.

Ghost of Sparta officially changed my mind about the God of War series. I've yet to play any of the main entries in the trilogy, but I have beat Chains of Olympus and while I enjoyed it, it took awhile before it got its hooks into me. Ghost of Sparta, on the other hand, hooked me right away with its intriguing story. It actually made me think about Kratos as a character a bit, which seemed like no easy feat before I actually played the game. I'm really looking forward to playing the God of War Collection that I picked up for my PS3 now.

Plan on finishing Outland and Retro Game Challenge this weekend, if I get the time.

I do want to add that as much as I loved the ending, I expected one more boss battle... but it didn't happen. The unpredictable nature (level numbering and amount) of the game makes this game very memorable.

29.Castlevania: Bloodlines (GEN)

I've always liked Road Rash, and 3 is probably my favorite of the originals. This is the first time I've ever actually beaten one though. I was very surprised to discover that the game doesn't really "end". After you finish the final race, it just returns you to the menu, same as any other race. Kinda odd.

Its been a few months since I last beat Rocket Knight Adventures, so I decided it was high time I did it again. I gush about this game a lot, so what can I say? It's easily one of my favorite games in the 16 bit era. Hell, its one of my favorite games period.

I finished Bloodlines earlier this afternoon, and holy crap this game is awesome. Its a blast beginning to end, and climbing the tower and the boss fight in level 3 was simply epic. I was a little surprised at how easy it was to beat Death near the end though. He was a lot more irritating in Super Castlevania IV. Not that I'm complaining, I just figured he'd put up more of a fight. I have to say though, saving the theme music for the last level, just for the walk to Dracula, was simply amazing. Great way to make you feel like all this ball busting work you've been doing is about to pay off. Awesome moment.

Anyway, brilliant game, I love it, wish I'd played it years ago. I beat it with Morris this time, but I think I'm gonna have to play it again as Lecarde. Should be fun. :D

After beating two Vanias, (the only two I've ever beaten) I'm feeling a Castlevania kick coming on. I just might have to go through all of the classics now.
