I almost got in a wreck today myself. Water logging from a large puddle in the street locked my rear brakes on full when I went to slow for a stop, and I almost slid into oncoming traffic at a 4-Way.

Most of the stopping force in a car is done by the front brakes. That's why you would see disc brakes in the front and drums in the back.

Now I can understand going through a large puddle would get the front (disc?) brakes wet and increase the stopping distance.

Yeah, they're discs in the front. I don't know why, but my rear ones have taken to waterlogging and locking on me in wet conditions. I have to go by a brake shop soon and see what's going on before anything happens again.

Ticked - So my hiring manger jumped ship today and took a better job with the company. He told me yesterday to start brownnosing to get out of where I am because it is the only way to move up and that my department is about to be "cleaned."

Smiled - found three jobs I should be able to get at better companies that I am applying for tonight.

Ticked: I lost the cap for my xacto knife the other night while packing a package for someone. I mean 20+ years then I manage to lose it while sitting at my desk somehow. Couldn't find it in the bright today. Hopefully I'll find it later.

I have the knife sitting on my desk where I won't accidentally bump it, I lost the cap. I even opened the package back up to make sure I didn't drop it in with the peanuts and dug through my trash can to make sure it didn't drop in there. Ah well.

i have run in my fair share of shitty weather. the most miserable run was going 15ish miles in 32.1 degrees in a total down pour. it was freezing, but not cold enough to snow. i won't ever forget that day. to be honest, i don't think i have ever run in a blizzard.

Smiled - Got the pay out from a contest at work today
Ticked - It is 380 shy of what it is supposed to be, same as everyone in my position (but the managers and sales reps got 100% - the assistant mangers got 55%). When brought up to the director his response was "atleast you got something."
Smiled - One of the other guys in my position stated that he will sue if he doesnt get his full amount, which has caused all sorts of trouble.

They claim that it was just taxes, but the line item on my paycheck is not supposed to be taxed, so it can be taxed a second time. That and the guy who is threatening a lawsuit is tax exempt currently. It just means I need to send out my resume to another ten companies today.
