One of my friends from school died in a car accident on Friday. Went to the wake yesterday. The entire school is in silence.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Trust me, I know what it is like to stare at an empty desk where a friend once sat.Kevman wrote:One of my friends from school died in a car accident on Friday. Went to the wake yesterday. The entire school is in silence.
I hope your school commemorates his life with dignity.

Most of the stopping force in a car is done by the front brakes. That's why you would see disc brakes in the front and drums in the back.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I almost got in a wreck today myself. Water logging from a large puddle in the street locked my rear brakes on full when I went to slow for a stop, and I almost slid into oncoming traffic at a 4-Way.
Now I can understand going through a large puddle would get the front (disc?) brakes wet and increase the stopping distance.
