So we are going to get a raunchy Flintstones with Fred having flashbacks every 2 mins about something not funny? Not cool.

American Dad at least shows that Seth can make a show without constant cut-away gags. While I'd say American Dad is no where near as good as the first two seasons of Family Guy, it's at the very least better than what Family Guy has become.

Still, I don't hold out a lot of hope for this Flintstones reboot. Seth was at his best when he was fresh and he was only working on one show at a time. Now a days, he's spread way too far and he's frankly run out of material.

I agree. Roger is my favorite TV alien since ALF.

I take it you don't like Home Movies or Dr. Katz either.

Nearly anything H. Jon Benjamin or Brendon Small are involved with is gold.

Dr. Katz - awesome
Home Movies - Awesome
Science Court/Squigglevision: Awesome
Bobs Burgers - Awesome
Metalocalypse - Awesome
Venture Bros (though not directly responsible for it's awesomeness, they are featured in it) - Awesome

Liking something like American Dad over Bobs Burgers is just ridiculous.

One does not have to like every show by a particular team. Clearly I do not like all of Seth MacFarlane's shows, but appreciate some and his talent for comedy in general. I mean really, what a bizarre thing to say. Going by that logic, if I didn't like one Final Fantasy, I guess I don't like them all. If I don't like broccoli, I guess I don't like all green vegetables, and I guess if I don't like the Ford Taurus, I must not like all Fords.

Seth can be funny. Family Guy was great once upon a time, and its been improving (sort of) lately. And I love American Dad.

Hell, I always loved this old short from his cartoon network days:

My only concern about the Flintstones is that, like others have said, he'll try to make it into another Family Guy. If he does that, its lost. I said it already, but I don't want to hear jokes on the level of erocktion. Its just lame.

I hope he treats it differently. I'll give it a shot, but if its Family Guy v.2 I'm gonna be pissed.

This is a great quote from IMDB: "This show isn't for everyone, and surely some people will find that it doesn't exactly tickle your sense of novelty. It begs for fans who are willing to try to get it, and especially for people who like the offerings of Loren Bouchard we've already seen."

I think that sums up Bob's Burgers pretty well. It's much like shows like Running Wilde, where the audience is not necessarily going to be found on Fox.

Yeah, really. The Flinstones of our childhood is sacrosanct and should NOT be messed with. How dare they bastardize all of our fond remembrances of that masterpiece of prehistoric glory.

... we're talking about the John Goodman movie, right?
