I disagree, as I feel Neo Turf Masters has alot more to offer than Pocket Tennis.

Actually, after some thought, you're probably right that NTF is the superior game, but I just find Pocket Tennis a lot more fun. I guess I can write about NTF, instead. I love both of them!

@lisalover1, if you feel you can handle the amount of articles you want to write, you're more than welcome to, but don't overwhelm yourself. If you feel you do get overwhelmed, I'm sure I can give you a hand, as well as anyone else who wants to contribute

@Czernobog, Since you were the first to call it fair and square, Dark Arms and Cardfighter's Clash is all you dude.

I think we should have a bit of guidelines so we can help categorize these games properly, since the library is fairly small. I was thinking that the games that defined the Neo Geo Pocket would be based on quality as well as the popularity of the series. So, for example Metal Slug 1st and 2nd Mission are both part of Metal Slug, a pretty famous series for SNK, so it'd go into defining games.

Hidden gems would be great quality, but missed the sales mark, for whatever reason. For example Falselei! Is a great game, but is rare since its only releases were Japanese, and European, as well as being released a few weeks before SNK's demise, with only 5000 cartridges originally release as well as 5000 more, later in 2004, I think it definitely counts as a hidden gem.

With this information, let's make a list and try to narrow down our Gems and Defining games :)
My Console Collection: 3DS (JPNS), Dreamcast (US and JPNS), Genesis, N64 (US and JPNS), iPod Touch, NES, Xbox, Famicom, Colecovision, Super Famicom, Neo Geo AES, Sega Saturn, DS LL (JPNS), Neo Geo Pocket Color.

I was surprised at the quality of the games on this handheld although NeoGeo are known for fighters only one or two were decent on pocket as they do not quite work as well on handhelds but the Metal Slugs were pretty good. 8)
My fav games:-
Crush Roller
Metal Slug 1/2
Neo Turf Masters
Pacman
Sonic Pocket Adventure
Cotton
I think Snk Vs Capcom MOTM is the best fighter, Gal`s fighters is a close second.

Also, for the Hidden Gems, I would really like to write about Magical Drop, Cotton, Ganbare! Neo Poke-Kun, and Evolution: Eternal Dungeons.
Magical drop uses "sh!t" in the story mode. That's worth the price of admission alone.

Ok, so far the current list of articles that we have for the "Games that Defined the Neo Geo Pocket" are as followed:

SNK VS. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium
Neo Turf Masters
Sonic Pocket Adventures
Metal Slug: 2nd Mission
Gals Fighters
Biotron
Capcom Vs. SNK Card Fighter's Clash Series

Is there any other games that you think should be on this list? I'm thinking this is really solid list so far, but adding Magical Drop to the list as well. Any other opinions before this is submitted?

I actually got two new NGPC games in the last week or so. Ganbare Neo Poke Kun definetely belongs on the hidden gems list, but Cool Cool Jam is frankly a bit of a let down to me.

Okay, if Magical Drop is being added to the Defining Games list, then I can write something up. ;)
