Re: Together Retro: Zoop
At the end of the month, you all are going to have to video your games and submit them to Twin Galaxies. Even if you don't get a world record, you'll still get a score up (plus, since Zoop doesn't really seem to have many players, a top three spot).
Gaming accomplishments:
Nibbler (marathon): 251,169,160 / Nibbler (one life): 5,263,360 (WR)
Donkey Kong: 423,100 [L12-1] (150th place as of 2019-01-15)
Super Smash Bros. (N64): Ranked top 5 in Wisconsin from Q1 2016 to Q2 2017
Shrek SuperSlam: won largest tournament in game's history (Shrekfest 2018)

I would encourage you guys cracking 100k to start thinking about recording your games.YoshiEgg25 wrote:At the end of the month, you all are going to have to video your games and submit them to Twin Galaxies. And if anyone has any questions about Twin Galaxies procedures and such, ask! A PM or e-mail would probably be best this week as I won't be able to pay attention with finals and such happening, but I'm pretty familiar with the rules and can find my way around their site.

I heartily recommend David to do that
I am not eligible as I'm not playing on original hardware - taping it will prove that I am not using save states, but I could have somehow tampered with the game or the FPSs are not the same or whatever.
That said I can see if I tape a good run of it to show you guys, I think you would accept it.
Ivo.

emulators are allowed on TG. You just have to make sure that you're using the emulator they want you to use, and that you record the emulator being booted up or whatever.Ivo wrote:I heartily recommend David to do that

Really? That makes me interested then. What is the PS1 emu they want? I've been using PSX.noiseredux wrote:

hmm actually PS1 might not be one that they have an allowed emulator for. Sorry about that.Ivo wrote:Really? That makes me interested then. What is the PS1 emu they want? I've been using PSX.noiseredux wrote:

Played the snes version.
After 4 tries my best is 63,700(score) 0371(zooped) 7:34 played at level 5
Not a bad puzzle game!

Re: Together Retro: Zoop
I have either 219000 or 220000. Tried to post earlier but it was down. Will give accurate score later, but wanted to be the first to get in breaking the 200k barrier
On the PS1.
5 springs clearing once.
David, get cracking! You need to last longer to have a reliable chance at pulling off the springs, they appear more frequently in later levels. Also, if you haven't yet seen the final power-up (a circle that blinks different colors), it clears all the ones of the colour you hit on that particular side (but not on the other 3 sides).
With a couple of spring-cleaning I may be able to break into 300k.
I tried a bit of level 10, and despaired, for the background and the playing area are basically the same and it really confuses my eyes.
