CC10's Game Room - New Website Beta Stage, link within

Post by coastercrazy10 »

Update:

So been working on a bit of a project to keep track of all my games. Basically, I started putting together my own website to manage each and every game that I add to my collection. I'm working on everything I have currently and so far have worked through games for 7 consoles (284 games) and my site is functional, though not pretty. I will be updating it regularly, and here's a link:

http://vonderh3.projects.cs.illinois.edu/CC10GamingNet/

I'll keep the old pictures in this post, and you can see them below. I'll also have pictures of all my consoles and accessories and eventually the goal is to take pictures of games as I add them into my collection so I can have a constantly up-to-date perspective of my collection and be able to quickly double check condition of any game should I find another copy in the wild.

Anyone who might have a bit of insight or advice, feel free to give me a heads up. I'm only developing off my half semester of experience, though I've dabbled in many technologies being a CS major (using XSL, PHP, MySQL, and eventually some JavaScript) so this site isn't just some hacked together HTML noobie thing, though it looks like it right now  I'm actually maintaining a database behind the scenes so the site will update itself as I update the tables, so the only changes I'll be making after its done is cosmetic. Makes for easy upkeep :)

Hey all, here's my new games room setup!

Hobie: Thanks. I got that game as part of a mystery box so I've no idea why OPP is on there (in wite-out no less...)

BRIK: I wasn't even 3 when Kurt was found dead, so I unfortunately never saw them live. That UMD music album was part of a mystery box I bought from noiseredux some time ago.

Yeah same here. If I could ever go back in time the first thing I would do is see Nirvana live :)

Wonderful organization. Love your handhelds shelf. Some of those Atari boxes look pristine.

CRT: Thanks :) I've worked really hard to make things visually appealing and I think I finally hit the nail on the head!

Dakinggamer: I like to have great games for every system I have. Some systems its harder than others (cough xbox) but that's the goal at least!

shallowgamer: Thank you. Organization is priority number 2, right up there with enjoying the games. If only I could make my systems shelf look nicer...Also I'll have better pics of my handheld stuff up soon!

Brad: Thank you!

Updated with more games (32x through PS3). Before anyone asks why I don't have a 360, my answer is "yet". I'm waiting for a nice price drop. Then I'll hop in and grab some of the exclusive RPGs, but I'm waiting until I can get a brand new slim for like $150...wishful thinking I know, but I have enough to keep me occupied until that time comes lol.
