My tiny collection..
Re: My tiny collection..
Keep your eyes open here, too. So many deals I had to pass up on account of a budget, but many here offer decent prices.
Re: My tiny collection..
You could start with concentrating on systems that are relatively cheap to collect for. I notice you have a Dreamcast, that's a great system for people that are new to retro/collecting. Dreamcast systems and games are relatively cheap and common. There are so many amazing Dreamcast games that can be picked up very easily and very cheaply. Even some of the rarer "must haves" aren't so expensive when compared to say the Saturn.
Also, although you don't have a PS2 or Gamecube, I would recommend that NOW is the time to start collecting those, because the games and systems can still be bought from a lot of mainstream stores and the games are dirt cheap. I recently picked up a PS2 and I'm really enjoying the system. I've managed to get 27 games in just under a couple of months, and have picked up some rare games like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in '3 for £10' deals. Anyone who knows about Shadow of the Colossus and Ico will know that those games normally sell for well over £10 EACH,so I got a real bargain there.

Lots of hard to find PS2 games are showing up lately as people move up to the newer systems. Some good stuff at second hands stores now too. Gamecube stuff is coming around but still commands high prices due to people slowing figuring out they can play them on the Wii.Reprise wrote:Also, although you don't have a PS2 or Gamecube, I would recommend that NOW is the time to start collecting those, because the games and systems can still be bought from a lot of mainstream stores and the games are dirt cheap.
