Anyone else notice pushed-in artwork on game cases?

Post by Retrogamer0001 »

Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem I'm starting to notice. Many of my PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, etc games with plastic cases are starting to have a very noticeable disk outline on the back artwork. This is very frustrating, especially when the game is valuable. I store my games standing up in rows - is it possible there is some kind of pressure causing this to happen?

Possibly the way the case was manufactured

Also probably those new "eco-cases" that have less plastic. Man I hate those things.

Same here, good lord those things are worthless. Seeing more and more of them too; PS2 and 360 I've come to expect, but I was so disappointed when I spotted a Wii one not too long ago. At least PS3 cases are still decent quality... (knock on wood)

Ive noticed this problem mainly in second hand stores. My guess is it would be from not properly storing the containers or stacking too many on top each other or even other heavy objects on the cases.

I have cases of all types for all games and this never happens to the cases I own but I have bought some used ones with this problem. I store all my games vertically so that further proves my theory.
