Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (XBLA, PSN and PC)

Post by sevin0seven »

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Coming to XBLA, PSN and PC:
If you want to relive the glory days of Mortal Kombat, you'll be able to later this summer.

That's when Warner Bros. Interactive is releasing the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection on XBLA, PSN and PC for $10. The collection will feature the original three games in the trilogy, complete with online multiplayer and leaderboards.

Also coming with the collection is a Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Stick with PDP. It will cost $129.99 and will feature the retro MK button layout. The stick is available for pre-order now.

now this is great news considering im a huge retro MK fan.

Question is this the HD remix or just regular arcade style from the early days?

It should be the regular arcade version as it says on the original quote.

I had heard UMK3 would be on it - that they just left out MK3.

That stick looks awesome, I just wish it was a little cheaper.

edit: I never bought a stick before, is that price a total rip or what? I really wanna get it. Also, is that thing wireless or USB? And if it's USB, would it work on PC and PS3?

FINALLYYYYYY

I had just about given up hope that this had been axed for good, but I see they decided to make it an online title instead. I am excite. Hopefully they will still do the HD remix like they originally planned, but I guess we'll wait and see.

I blog about games and art. Usually both at once. Check it out at your own risk.

I wish these kind of things would get more physical releases. Is it just me? Seems like all the retro collections that used to come out on PS2 are now mostly just PSN releases instead.

Yeah, the link above says UMK3. They didn't really "leave out" MK3. UMK3 is just an updated MK3, but the same game.
