I had already moved to Chrome, because in small screens (netbook) I found it extremely superior. Then I really liked Google translate implemented directly into the browser, and that basically made me change over to Chrome. I like it, although it does have some issues with 3rd party support.

I like Firefox 4- it fits my personal browsing style (I like the bars concealed and the bookmarks tab way off to the side).

Upgraded to firefox 4 the day it came out....then downgraded hours later.
Mainly because it lacked Norton toolbar support.

Re: Firefox 4 sucks (>_<)
I upgraded to Firefox 4 yesterday. The interface change was a shock at first, but I'm already getting use to it. I usually hate when shit is changed around, but it's not too bad. I understand WHY they did it, the area to view web pages is bigger. I kinda don't like that tabs are in the top bar now, but I'm sure I'll get use to it.
What I don't like is that it crashed today. Some one linked me a page with a video embedded on it, when the page loaded FireFox crashed and I had to restart it. Never had FireFox crash before, ever.
I used Chrome when it first came out (was it still a beta?) and it was alright. I stopped using it in favor of Firefox because every time I went to photobucket it would crash. Maybe I'll check out the current version, but I have no gripes with Firefox right now, unless it starts crashing often.
edit: I too have back/forward buttons on my mouse, so I could care less where they are in the browser. I'm not a big fan of the home and bookmark buttons waaaaaaaaaay over there, but like Ack pointed out, I guess I can switch them if it bothers me that much. I might try and get use to it the way it is, I don't use those buttons very often. More often than not I open a new tab to get my homepage anyways. And I've gotten use to Ctrl+B for my bookmarks because you can search your bookmarks that way (I have a ton and I kinda lost track of where they're located in the giant unorganized list - much faster just to search a few letters). Like I said, I'm not a big fan of the tabs all the way up top, but I'll see how it goes. Thanks, Ack, for pointing out that you can switch it.

Re: Firefox 4 sucks (>_<)
Firefox 4 loads pages faster than 3 did for me. Used chrome for a bit, but hated how it dealt with, or rather, how it didn't deal with RSS feeds.

Norton's a really bad antivirus anyway...Whatever wrote:Upgraded to firefox 4 the day it came out....then downgraded hours later.

Keyboard shortcuts make life so simple.........(Seriously people just push F5, it's the same thing as a refresh icon and saves your hand having to move across your desk for the mouse)
Not to mention Firefox 4 is hardware accelerated like crazy. It makes browsing the web on an average to older PC bliss!

It does the job, no complaints here.
Re: Firefox 4 sucks (>_<)
I noticed that too, but forgot to mention it. THAT is complete bullshit, they shouldn't have switched it. I've already accidentally opened a new window through force of habit.kiteJargon wrote:Yeah they did some annoying things like when you right click a link. They switched the top two options of opening it in a new tab or a new window. There's no good reason to just randomly switch something that people have gotten used to over the years.

Yeah, I don't remember the last time I actually clicked the back, refresh, or home buttons. I like the new layout, I like App tabs, and I like that its slightly faster than FF3. I have no complaints with FF4.
@Switching the order of new tab and new window: That does seem pointless but again, I don't know the last time I actually opened a new tab by right-clicking a link. CTRL+Click is your friend.
