Oh how I long for X-men...

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Oh how I long for X-men...

Post by PharmaceuticalCowboy »

Today has been disappointing for me. I am super excited when I receive X-men: Children of the Atom for Saturn in the mail but quickly become appalled at what lies inside. The seller taped the disc to the case... across the top... with packing tape...

Needless to say only theoretical way to get the game to play is to a) take the tape off or b) poke a hole in the tape in the hole of the cd. As route A sounds risky I decide to go with B and cut the tape back a little while I am doing this I proceed to look at the disc a little more closely. Well, the tape lifted off a little in shipping (regardless of the tape the disc was still loose in the case  ) and the foil had so kindly attached itself to the tape...

So no battling X-men all day today for me... I am depressed enough to burn a copy of MvC (1 or 2... maybe both) to make up for it

God what an idiot the seller is.

Reminds me of going to goodwill and finding a bin full of boxed mint nes games...taped shut on both ends with industrial packing tape. I mean, people are going to open it anyway...

Definitely complain/ask for refund if it's not perfect or fitting of the description.

Thank god, seems like a nice guy, but not too bright as he said "I have never heard of tape doing that to the foil" but then again why would he if he did it. Anyway sending it back for a refund and just disappointed because the game would have been fine other than the piece of tape put on it to "secure" it. Also glad this is a good place to share my frustrations with the gaming community, Ebay is something we have to deal with now that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good brick and mortar gaming stores and problems like this arise all the time.
