What? I've bought the 360 twice .. one original (20gb), one slim (250gb). All it came with in the box were composite cables, just like my ps3 slim.

Am I missing something here, or did you purchase one of the SKUs that actually included something more?

The newer slim 4 and 250 come with a composite. I know the base models of the fats came with composite, but I'm pretty sure the elites and whatnot came with a component combo cable.

I'm still upset both my Atari 5200 and 7800 only had RF, would have been happy with at least a composite.

I'm happy with my AmazonBasics brand cable from Amazon.com. It came nice and quick and was pretty reasonable. I have no idea why whenever i go to the store HDMI cables are always like 40 or 50 bucks. I feel sorry for whatever loser actually buys them at that price.

Another vote for Monoprice and picking the length and color you want for cheap. Being able to have different colored cables so you know what is what while sorting the birds nest behind the TV is great.

Having different color cables is a great idea. Thanks for the tip.

I bought the one that Limewater linked to me, so I feel pretty good about the price I paid.

Interesting... I know my launch 20GB Pro SKU came with a combo composite/component lead. I'm not actually sure if my Elite came with one because I already had the component cable to plug in so I never even took the cable out of the box. Then I just got a HDMI cable for cheap and used that. I'd be surprised if the top SKUs didn't come with at least a component cable. Or do they expect you to just have a HDMI cable already like they do with DVD players and SCART cables in this country? Strange.

My Elite came with both component/composite combo as well as a HDMI cable.
