Maybe your memory has faded on this one too...

It was a huge item fetch quest, cave entrances and exists riddled throughout the area and you had to go back and forth through time (trading items or creating new paths via branches, etc), like more than a dozen times. Had to play several minigames to get new items, and had to do the dancing thing at least -twice- to get BOTH keys to the 6th dungeon. That was extremely annoying because I thought there was only one until I just looked it up and realized after beating the Platinum Dance 3 times or something, I had to give the Lava Juice to some random Goron around the place that gave me a Letter to the Graceful Goron Dancer that convinced him to give away the key if I won again. Then there was the 6th dungeon that had you go in and out a few times because you had to go back and forth through time to navigate the entire thing. This is barely scratching the surface of everything that was involved here.

Seriously, just youtube it or something if you're that curious. It was like the most annoying overly complicated area I've ever seen in a Zelda game,
I really loved Seasons and Ages (they are my 2nd and 3rd favorite Zelda games, respectively), but Ages' puzzle-based nature was noticeably more difficult that Seasons' straightforward skill-based nature. There was a lot of messing around in-between dungeons that had to be done in Ages, as you said, which made things quite perplexing if you didn't have a guide. Also, the last boss in Ages is a capital-B bitch to beat.

Well I definitely don't want to argue against you guys, but yeah. I still think Seasons wasn't as simplistic as say Awakening or anything, but the overworld was just so much easier to navigate and get around quickly compared to Ages'. Not to mention there's not nearly as many Gale spots in either time compared to Seasons overworld, which had like 7 or 8 it felt like. The dungeons were still pretty tough though and again, so far it just feels like Ages dungeons are just overly complicated in comparison, like they take a lot more trial and error figuring out without a guide like you said. There's also been many segments in Ages that make what I thought were bad segments in Seasons, look really good. Like when the two Subrosia(?) brothers stole one of your items and you had to sneak around following them to get to the dig spot. I didn't "hate" that part nor did I love it, but then Ages has stuff like when the raft crash lands on that Lizardman island or something and you lose all your items, holy mother I hated that part. Again it was yet another section where you had to constantly go back and forth switching between items (being limited at the time), times, moving things around, to navigate this tiny overly complicated area. But I guess if people prefer that, I can see how they'd favor it over Seasons or something.

Though when it comes to skills as you say, that was certainly far more needed in Seasons when it came to the bosses. Maybe the Ages last boss is annoying as you said, though I haven't had any major problems with any boss in Ages so far but the ones in Seasons were brutal.

All in all don't get me wrong, Ages is still great. But yeah, I think Seasons/Awakening are a good bit better personally. :)

Went into Goodwill today and had a mini heart attack. Saw Michael Jackson's Moonwalker on VHS. I thought it was the Genesis game

The crappy late 90s POS US Dr Who might have been cooler if it had starred Paul Zaloom or Bill Nye and had elements of their science shows. Josie and Lester would have fit in the tardis just fine.
