Jay_red's room(s) and collection

Post by jay_red »

My Fiance and I purchased a house about 5 months ago (at only 23 years old FTW!) and had originally planned on making one of the bedrooms into a totally themed game room with mario wall paint job and everything. It was to be the retro zone, we even got a hold of a really nice huge CRT to play them on for maximum awesomeness. Then the option of a room mate came up and we decided to go that route and put the ultimate game room on hold for now.

I have recently been working on the living room, just purchased a new shelf for all the games (pictured) but now am at a loss on how to display all of the consoles. The entertainment center we have is the main problem, but we will get something else down the road. So I wanted to show what it was so far, along with our (very popular among visitors) music room.

This is the overview of the living room (those sony speakers were found in the attic of my Fiance's dad and do they sound sweet!):

These are the most played consoles:

EDIT: My fiance came home and decided to change this shelf around, much improved!

Most of my consoles, all duplicates were somehow given to me for free over the years:

Also got some new shelves last night to take care of the console display issue:

Hey thats a nice autimin

But wait theres more!

And here is the music room:

We have another box full of toys that need to be displayed still.

Yes, not only does my Fiance support all of this gaming goodness, she is as big of a gamer as I and a lot of the ideas were hers (sorry guys already put a ring on it!)

I plan on printing out some signage for the living room (SEGA, Nintendo, etc) to add a little more to it

Really nice collection and living room. I like the way you've decorated and organized. The game shelf re-org definitely looks nice.

I really like the mighty muggs. How many marvel muggs are there and are they expensive to collect?
