Agreed 100%

Haven't read the entire thread but they're currently shafting PS2 games, which is the most modern system I own. Maybe when jocks lose interest in gaming, things will be different. Its only a matter of time.

There was a time not too long ago (pre-Halo) where I was made fun of for gaming. Since then, the type that used to poke fun is having daddy spend 10x more dough on every weekend hype game.

... from Gamestop. Do you not understand the recently much wider gaming audience is primarily comprised of those poor-tasted neanderthals and that it is their purchases making the Gamestop Empire possible? At least I'd hope they're the only ones not supporting independent stores or Play N Trade.

It takes noise awhile to catch on. But don't forget to mention the Moms and Grandma's too.

When Play 'N Trade builds a store closer to my home, I'll go there. In the meantime, the two GameStops five miles from my house do just fine.

I guess I don't quite follow what you're saying. Gamestop is evil because jocks have dads who buy them 10x more stuff than you buy? What?

At any rate, I shop at Gamestop, and I'm quite sure I'm not a jock. But I do love a bargain. I'd certainly go to Play N Trade if existed anywhere near me. I do go to other mom-n-pop used stores too. But the sad truth is those stores charge a lot more for PS2 or PSP games than Gamestop.

Do you know who I consider to be a "neanderthal"? Someone who is so self-righteous about their own tastes and/or rationale for doing something (like playing games) that they think those who don't have the same tastes and reasons are somehow deficient.

I guess I don't realize how lucky I am to have an active retro game shop by my place. Their prices are usually considerably lower than GameStop and eBay/online prices across the board. I rarely set foot in GameStop.
