I believe you, but your statements are BS per the OP.

I don't know, that clip seems more hateful and angry than actually funny to me.

I have kind of lost interest in Matt and Trey over the years. I used to be a huge South Park fan, but these days I view them as just two guys using "shock" to their advantage rather than two guys who are genuinely still funny or clever.

I sort of got annoyed with South Park when it got into the habit of making fun of dead people like a week after they died, which started with Steve Irwin. No only does that show ZERO class, but it's just an easy, lazy way to get people's attention. I also got tired of the high horse they are on. Bashing Family Guy when South Park thinks singing piles of poo is clever comedy. Get over yourself guys

Actually, I think South Park is a lot less about shock value now than it used to be. Look at the first few seasons, all the humor comes from little kids swearing and being disgusting. These days they do genuine social commentary. The quality is more hit and miss because it's just easier to do nothing but dick jokes. But when it's good it's not only really funny but also really important.

"Fuck you, God" may be up for a Tony award.

God bless Parker and Stone. Wait, what?

You all may laugh at the mormons, but you are missing out on a major perk: sainthood was never easier. When you join the Ladder Day Saints, you're a saint from the get go. Catholics like Mother Teresa toil their whole lives and still aren't considered saints.
All Christians are considered "saints." The Catholics, for some reason, decided to use it for a title of those who lived exceptionable Christian lives as judged by them.

So... should we get into a debate about the rather large differences between LDS beliefs and regular Christian (Catholic, EO or Protestant) beliefs? :) It's not really the site for that, but it might be fun.

Orgasmo and the South Park Joseph Smith episode were awesome!

Can we talk about the musical a bit?

No?

Yeah, the musical was the point of this thread, but carry on.

Is there any way to view it? I'll still give the songs a listen via the link you posted sometime today though.

I think talking about Orgazmo is relevant though, same with Cannibal, as they're both Trey and Matt musicals. Did anyone see Cannibal?

The musical is quite an accomplishment. Trey and Matt put together a Broadway musical that a heterosexual might actually want to see. They deserve an award for that alone.
