Re: My Article: A Short History of Gaming
What is this for? Who is the audience? I'm not really sure how we are to critique it. It's missing a lot, obviously - but that may not matter depending on what your objectives are and why....

2000 characters. It was for a newsletter that is made by some of the students I teach and I was asked to write it for. I just wanted to share it here after I was finished. Thought I did pretty well and was feeling proud.dsheinem wrote:What is this for? Who is the audience? I'm not really sure how we are to critique it. You have about 16K characters. Do you mean 2000 words? You have about 3000.BurningDoom wrote:2000 characters. Precisely.alienjesus wrote:Isn't this exactly what the Turbografx did to get the 16 number? I'm not sure theres a set definition on what constitutes the amount of bits.Zeitgeist wrote:Neo Geo was 16 bit. It was just marketing to add the 8 bits of the co-processor (Z80) to the 16 bit (Motorola 68000) of the main processor.Niode wrote: SNK released a system called the Neo Geo. It was a 24 bit console not 16 bit.

Yeah, words. I added the pictures here for embellishment. In the article there's gonna be only one. The quick lists of "important games" at the end of some the sections I kind of added in the post, too.dsheinem wrote:You have about 16K characters. Do you mean 2000 words? You'll still probably be a little over 2K...but I am sure you'll figure where to make cuts. What do you teach?BurningDoom wrote:Yeah, words. I added the pictures here for embellishment. Job coach. Stuff like how to do an interview, how to properly fill-out an application and resume, grooming, how to be professional, etc.dsheinem wrote:You'll still probably be a little over 2K...but I am sure you'll figure where to make cuts.
