Hey, I'm just trying to remain cautiously optimistic about the state of my $299 paperweight. The Saturn has been my best friend during this dire situation; my security blanket.

I've had no problem enjoying my PS3 offline -- LittleBigPlanet, 3D Dot Game Heroes, FFXIII, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. Not to mention I could use a lot of practice in SSF4 and MvC3 so as not to be TOTALLY brutalized online.

I hope not.
Unless you like playing with hackers and unfixed bugs and lack of content. As well as a low player limit. Then just to top it all off a fairly rocky framerate at times.
Also what's the point of the best war themed hat simulator without hats?
Do yourself a favor and get the PC version. It's really the only way to play TF2 now. You don't need a gaming computer to play it. It runs on some of the most crap hardware out there (though it wont look pretty).

I know, but i dont have a computer at the moment so i cant get it on Steam. I've been really wanting to play Tf2 but i only have the orange box on my ps3. Even if i have to play with all those problems, I would for Tf2.

Well hold your final judgement for the game until you play the PC version. I never liked the game until I started playing the PC version. It really is that much better.

PS2 "emulation" via software on any PS3 is a myth. There is still PS2 hardware on the "software emulated" ps3s. That hardware is missing on non-BC PS3s. It isn't as if they can just include a software update and all PS3s could magically play PS2 games.
Hey now, if a PC with none of the hardware can emulate a PS2 then a PS3 with no PS2 hardware could theoretically emulate a PS2. Now it might look like Doom 3 on a Voodoo2 and renders in minutes per frame, but still.
