There are TONS of quality Japan-only PS2 titles, even outside of shooters. A Japanese PS2 is a way better investment.

As far as shooters for the PS2 go, unfortunately, they're all really expensive. Like, Saturn shooter expensive.

Virtual-On Force. Virtual-On Force. Virtual-On Force.

Force is much slower then it's predecessor, and it's controls are very simple but the ability to team up with a friend is ultra cool. I have a question though, since most Japanese 360 games are region free wouldn't it be silly to buy a JP 360?

Well, it's also a lot easier to trick a PS2 into thinking it's of another region than the 360.

Even so, I'm still considering a JP PS2. Sengoku Basara 2-X, Hokuto No Ken, Dream Mix TV World Fighters, Neon Genesis Evangelion: Battle Orchestra, Super Robot Wars Series, Another Century's Episode Series, and Namco X Capcom were a few of my favorites on the system... plus the amazing Sega Ages games.

Hokuto no Ken, Sega Ages, and the Banpresto stuff (SRW, ACE) alone are enough to justify buying a JPN PS2. Not to mention the Berserk game and the massive library of 2D fighters. Trust me, you'll never look back. My JPN PS2 collection of games is starting to rival my US collection.

Oh yeah, forgot all about the Berserk game - which is sad, considering that was one of my first imports for the PS2. (The first was Sengoku Basara 2, though.)

Why don't you chip a PS2? Better than having one for each region.

During the game, if the Joker will be a dish on the table, each player must be replaced with the second card, if it is their turn. This wild card can be used anywhere else on the table for the order, or placed in the frame reader. There are limits to the Joker, but such is not able to use a couple or single. It can not be used during pregame, Charleston, but overall it still opens opportunity of a game.
