Best Saturn game between $10-$25
Re: Best Saturn game between $10-$25
Castlevania Symphony of the Night had an extra area in it not in the PSX version. Other than that I'm not sure how they technically compare or anything though.

Darius Gaiden and Galactic Attack for some cheap vertical/horizontal shooting combo.

I would recommend Resident Evil, playing it on the Saturn is the coolest wayelslasho wrote: Also, anyone know of a list of Saturn ports that were better than other platform ports, because I am interested in getting Resident Evil but I kinda want to stick to 2D for the Saturn.

Another vote for Galactic Attack.
I just picked up Three Dirty Dwarves last week and it is a pretty awesome beat em' up with some fun variety stages. I can't wait to try it out with 2 other players.

Magical Drop 3 (JP) is very fun puzzler. For US I would say Sonic 3D Blast and Bubble Bobble: Featuring Rainbow Islands are two great ones in that price range.

The best thing you can do is buy the Pro Action Replay 4-in-1 cart. They sell it here at Racketboy for a decent price ($32.95). This will open you up to the world of Japanese import Saturn games. Why is this good? Because there are an absolute ton of great games that never made it out of Japan. Furthermore, a lot of the games that are expensive in the US or EU are really cheap in Japan. Saturn Bomberman for just $25 or less? That's a LOT cheaper than the US version. How about Guardian Heroes for $40 instead of over $100? Done! Dragon Force for $15 or Panzar Dragoon Saga for $25 (yeah, you'll use a FAQ, but you save upwards of $150!)? Believe it.
BTW, yes... Astal is AWESOME. You need it.

The graphics are a bit better in the PSX version (better special effects, basically), but yes... the Saturn version has two areas that are not in the PSX version. If you are nuts about the game, like me, then it is worth it to pick up the Saturn version.Castlevania Symphony of the Night had an extra area in it not in the PSX version. Quoted for truth. There is literally next to no reason to own a Saturn if you don't bother to get a PAR 4-in-1.Breetai wrote:The best thing you can do is buy the Pro Action Replay 4-in-1 cart.
I purchased Fighting Vipers brand new, factory sealed from Amazon.com for $10 the other day. It's a pretty decent arcade fighting game ported exclusively to the Saturn.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Is the japanese version of guardian heroes figuroutable?
