PSP Shumps

Post by env963 »

Are there any killer import or domestic shumps that are a "must have" for the PSP? I really like on rails shooters.. for my tastes include Rez, Panzer Dragoon (all of them), Ikaruga, Radiant silvergun, Psyvariar 2 are my absolute fav's. Looking for domestic shumps (other than psone games) I dont see much. Appears japan has quite a few. But i dont know if there are any "killer" games to get.

Domestic? Not much...

Gradius Collection is fantastic though.
Platypus is kind of meh, but looks neat and is dirt cheap.
Space Invaders EX is excellent.

when PSN goes back up you can get Space Shooter For 2 Bucks, which is what it says and is worth a lot more than $2.

imports:

Salamander Collection
Darius Burst
SNK Shooting
Star Soldier Collection

more I'm forgetting...

There's also the Star Soldier remake, Parodius Portable, Twinbee Portable, Strikers 1945 Plus, and Thexder Neo.

Salamander Collection and Star Soldier Collection should be your top priority though.

Gotta be honest... Sengoku Cannon should probably be avoided at all costs, unless you're like a huge fan of the Sengoku Blade games. It's very bad.

I got rid of my copy awhile back, so no luck there.

Really though, have you seen clips of the game? You might want to see it before you spend 40 bucks on it...

I wouldn't drop $40 on it, but if I could get it via trade I'd take it. I'm bad at turning down shmups. Even shit ones.

I hate to say it but I think the PSP d-pad/joystick suck ass for shmups. I did not like playing the Gradius collection at all on it. :?
