Is 450 for it complete a bad price? I haven't seen it any cheaper.....I mean is it going up in price recently?
Also what exactly is COMPLETE?
Earthbound....
Re: Earthbound....
That sounds ludicrous even for this rare game.
"Complete" should/usually mean it comes with the box, manual, etc, and should damn well be in mint condition or something.

I meant this specific game...what'd it come with?Xeogred wrote:"Complete" should/usually mean it comes with the box, manual, etc, and should damn well be in mint condition or something.
Re: Earthbound....
I don't have it, but I think it game in a big box with the strategy guide and some scratch and sniff stickers or pads or something. And yes, 450 IS WAY THE HELL TOO MUCH FOR EARTHBOUND.
EDIT:
Just checked eBay completed listings. I cannot believe people are paying that much for this. A year ago it was 130 tops for the whole shebang. Recommendations:
-Get it game only w/ manual (essential and charming I hear)
-Bid
-Buy the manual and emulate
You can get it BIN on eBay and Amazon for that price. Why rush? Bid and get it for less.

Re: Earthbound....
I have seen MINT showcase quality copies go for half what you asked, keep looking and make sure you dont buy a fake or repro. That game has them out there!
Re: Earthbound....
When it comes to Earthbound specifically, complete means:
- Box. It had a special oversized box because it comes with..
- Strategy Guide. It came with the full strategy guide, which to really be complete needs..
- Scratch & Sniff Cards. There were certain points in the game where these could be used. A truly "complete" guide would have these be unused.
- All the usual pack-in inserts.
- The plastic wrap that covered the cart. (It did not come with the plastic bottom protective cover.)
- The oversized cardboard insert that held the cartridge in the oversized box.
Many copies that you see being sold will include the box (without cardboard insert), guide and cart which really is "good enough". However, if you desire a truly complete copy of the game, it must have everything listed above.
$450 is an outrageous price. In the $200 range for a complete copy is much more common.

A) The game is not rare; online or offline.
B) Like others have said, $200 is what a complete copy usually goes for.
C) DON'T pay $450!!!

Am I the only person that thinks Earthbound is ridiculously over-rated?

Re: Earthbound....
$450 is way too fucking much. $150 is the absolute limit I'd pay for it.
