I like that it comes with an HD make over, but i hope they have an original mode as well.

Ill pick this up day one, but I also hope it means i can snag a physical copy for a decent price soon as well.

I have a manual already from my original version that my cousin borrowed and never gave back (leant out as he said, but I think sold for drugs is more likely the case).

Guardian Heroes is one of those games I picked up on a whim when it was released that has now turned into a semi-rare title. Original box is still in perfect condition. :)

It's a fantastic game. I would still recommend adding it to your collection if you have the cash, though I'm glad the live arcade game will be getting the game more visibility for all the folks who never played it.

Good thinking. This didn't happen for Radiant Silvergun, but it has happened to many of the PSX games that get released as PS1 classics via PSN.
Its worth hoping for.
Given that remakes are pretty much standard fare now in the gaming industry AND the movie industry, I'm actually surprised originals aren't becoming MORE valuable. It's kind of like how I tend to avoid getting player's choice games. They're common and everyone has them. I prefer an original that has some value

Sounds good. How about a Gunstar Heroes remake while there at it hehe. In fact, I would have expected Gunstar Heroes to come first. I guess Guardian Heroes was more popular.

Well, Gunstar Heroes got a SEGA AGES release and VC/PSN/XBLA releases, if you count that.

Hmm, must have missed those. Was it a simple port or an enhanced remake of sorts?

I think it was just a port with online co op added in. Perhaps some leaderboards, it's been awhile.

Yeah Gunstar Heroes was basicly just a port with a bit of scaling for HD, very similar to how the other sega genesis games were made for xbla. But it was also only 5 bucks, so its worth a buy.

Some video of the game. Turns out you get both HD and original modes to play. Very nice.

It doesn't look like the HD is a huge upgrade, but still nice that they made an effort.

Now we just need a sequel, and i don't mean that GBA game.

Wonder if we could ever see something like Dragon Force get this treatment.
