I was just thinking about some of my Saturn collection this morning and remembered buying Radiant Silvergun and Metal Slug at EB, of all places. At the time I knew what Metal Slug was but only knew that Radiant Silvergun was made by Treasure--good enough endorsement for me.
They were charging $60 for imports at EB then, and I think I remember seeing a few more there (some fighting games I think). Did anyone else buy some imports there?
On a side note, I used to love EB. It was my childhood dream to work there (I know, sad) and of course I realized the absurdity of that dream in HS when I actually did. This was all before the changeover to Gamestop and I remember we actually had a little rivalry going with the one upstairs in the mall.

For my entire life all the EBs here in Ohio have been virtually the same as their current Gamestop brethren. The only major difference I have noticed is that EB sold more PC games and even PC components. Nevertheless, an import would be crazy to me as I have never seen anything more rare in an EB than a Mac game...

My EB was always a great place with nice employees. My Gamestop (and FuncoLand before that) was always a shit hole with rude employees I could never, and still can't get along with. I remember when they had Shenmue 2 with an import boot disc for $60. Unfortunately, the mall was bulldozed, and EB was gone.
