They might be. Some games *cough*Tomb Raider*cough*SiN Episode 1*cough* rely more on sexy game characters than on good quality and gameplay. There are also games that rely more on sexy graphics *cough*Doom 3*cough*Crysis*cough* than on fun.

I don't see them as sexy but rather "artistic". It takes a lot of imagination to get the physics right on those bouncy for the ladies of DOA. 8)

If sexy means too complicated - yes!

I remember the days when you could pick up any game and figure it out almost instantly.
Today games have 30 minute tutorials and 500 page instruction books.

The funny thing is, I was playing Dead or Alive 2 on the Dreamcast with my jaw hitting the floor due to hi-res graphics and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon-like ninja moves. Then I showed it to some friends, they had smug looks on their faces, and when I asked them what was up they made some remark about the bra size of the character I was using.

So... maybe too many gamers these days just have their mind in the gutter? I dunno.
