Are there any games that have made you feel guilty?

I've been playing Red Dead Redemption, trying to stay on the honorable path. This involves shooting a lot of escaping convicts in the back and murdering horse-thieving women. It feels intensely wrong, if only because this is what is considered "honorable" in the game. If I weren't trying to stay on the straight and narrow I wouldn't even blink. The game just has an entirely different moral compass than I do, I guess.

OH, I just thought of a really good example. Portal. I actually felt bad when I threw my weighted companion cube into the fire. Damn GLaDOS for making me do that. Evil witch.

It's a testament to how great the writing is in that game. I was actually led to feel something for that inanimate object, and then once I cared, I had to destroy it. Evil.

The Call of Duty MW2 airport scene is pretty messed up. I haven't played it myself, but I don't think I could.

Yeah, I felt bad just watching the video. I haven't played the game.

I just played through it and didn't think about what I was doing at the time.

Personally, I must just be heartless, because I never felt a damn thing for that cube, I always thought that bit was overrated. And why the hell would I? It's the same as the other cubes I'd been using up to that point with a bloody heart drawn on it. I didn't feel any guilt holding it front of the insta death laser shooting things, why would it bother me dropping it in the fire?

I love the writing of that game, but both the cake is a lie and the weighted companion cube seem to be far too over-rated considering neither was amongst the funniest or most intersting bits of writing in that game imo.

Kayne and Lynch 2. The characters were ammoral, they didn't accomplish anything or change personally, the storyline was bleak, humorless, and tasteless. I'm not really puritanical when it comes to games, but I feel kind of slimy for even playing through it.
