At anyone writing verbs in all-caps.
If you had actually read what I said, you would see that I said nothing about motivational or ethical reasons behind using modchips. What I was saying was that it was cheaper to just get the damn game.

Read what I say before you jump to conclusions.

For a cube with a xeno gc chip, I would say yes. The one on Goodwill had a full sized case, Qoob Pro ($40+ chip), and a BBA. It also came with two controllers and wires.

Thanks Yoshi.

@ eskil what I wrote earlier, worth repeating.

Gamecube will last longer if it did not have to read DVDRs.

How can you not see that I did.

crtgamer, thanks for the advice. I've heard similar things about the Dreamcast with CD-Rs. But I don't understand why it should be an issue with the Gamecube, since the media shouldn't be all that different.

noiseredux, I wasn't actually talking about you. My mistake.

Because you directed your post at me when all I told you was that it would cost more, not that I had any ethical problems with it!

DVD-Rs are different (burned) from factory-pressed (pressed?) discs.

You didn't write any verbs in all caps, so I don't think his post was directed at you nor noiseredux. It was pretty obviously directed at CRTGAMER who wrote "buy" in all caps.

Should've isn't a verb.

But that's just being a dick.

No, this is being a dick:

:P

Enough trolling. Either way, I think this thread served its purpose and can be closed.
