Sega Master System Price Check
Re: Sega Master System Price Check
In the 20+ years I have owned my MS, I have used a Genesis adapter and never, ever had a problem. I would definitely recommend the 1st gen model specifically for the card games and that, in my personal opinion, it has a heavier, better feel to it. It "feels" like quality. I would say the numbers are spot on. The boxed system I have was about $50, but I suspect you will pay, for a playable non-boxed one, around $30 to $40 bucks. It's worth every penny.

A GEN 1 plug will work just fine for the SMS 1. Genesis controllers will also work for most SMS games. A NES/SNES/GEN/TG RF cord will work. The SMS 1 also uses the same AV cable as a GEN 1. That should help simplify if you find a loose one for a good price.
