You picked an decent example. Its just there was a terrible movie called "The Fast and the Furious" released in the 50s which has no relation to the 2001 film - which are just stupid fun movies. The problem is that the allusion does not work very well. There are games on every major console that are pretty, and others that are intriguing and brilliantly written. But you have to compare apples to apples. I mean a pretty RPG is always going to look better than a pretty FPS.eskil wrote:I probably didn't pick the best example.
Imagine comparing a very violent action film with loads of sex scenes to an elaborate, deep art film with a very intriguing plot, brilliantly written dialogue and believable performances by all actors.

I feel the exact same way. I have never cared for Ocarina of Time, at all. Wind Waker wasn't really my cup of tea either, but it was way more Zelda than Ocarina of Time was. To me anyway.noiseredux wrote:Y'know all the stuff people usually say they DO like about OoT? I felt that way about Wind Waker. To me, Wind Waker was the perfect realization of a 2D Zelda in a 3D world. But it seems that I'm a minority in that way of thinking.

OoT was great. MM was amazing. WW was perfect.noiseredux wrote:

I definitely like MM more than OOT. The story is just so interesting, and well... F'd up.AmishSamurai wrote:OoT was great. MM was amazing. WW was perfect.noiseredux wrote:

If you're going to use Chrono Cross, maybe I should use Perfect Dark or Conker's Bad Fur Day.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Yeah, pick out the best looking game why dont ya?brunoafh wrote:pepharytheworm wrote:I understand that logic. Yeah, what an ugly mess.![]()
I find the most annoying part about PS1 graphics is the warping, something that the Saturn lacks for the most part as a side effect of using quads instead of triangles.

Those look almost as good as Deus Ex, a PC exclusive from the same year.

Because I have never played it, and don't really know much about it, since it didn't come out in the US. Not knowing much about it includes not knowing that the graphics are supposed to be any good. *looks at screenshots*Opa Opa wrote:Why not just use Sin & Punishment?BoringSupreez wrote:If you're going to use Chrono Cross, maybe I should use Perfect Dark or Conker's Bad Fur Day.
You're kidding, right? Or does it look better in person?

What site did you go to?BoringSupreez wrote: You're kidding, right? Or does it look better in person?
I think that graphically it is one of the most impressive N64 games.
That almost made my list of most visually impressive games.noiseredux wrote:

Why wouldn't I pick a visually impressive game as an example of a visually impressive game? Makes sense to me.BoringSupreez wrote:If you're going to use Chrono Cross, maybe I should use Perfect Dark or Conker's Bad Fur Day.
As for Perfect Dark and Conker, Perfect Dark looks very good. Conker doesn't though. I know it all comes down to preference and taste when you're saying which console looks better, but I don't see how it could even be argued that the N64 does 3D better than the PS.
