^ I've been meaning to play that one since it's been mentioned on a few websites I visit, but haven't gotten to it yet. I'll get back to you with my impressions later. :)

Also, I welcome other people to post games. Generally I like to keep the new game posts separated by a few days though to allow opportunity for discussion of each one, but no worries.

I gave Steamlands a go. It's a challenging little game. I think they've done a nice job of keeping a consistent steam engine theme. The gameplay is fun, but I always feel like my opponent has begun tearing me apart before I've managed to aim at them. It's a clever design though. It's almost like an RTS, but all the allocation of resources and deployment of attacks occurs on your tank.

Cactus McCoy

I love the artwork and music of this one. It's a really good platformer/beatemup too.

Anbot 2

Anbot 2 is a point and click game that is unusually fast and action oriented for the genre. It's a very interesting take on an otherwise slow paced genre.

Let Them Eat Cake was, umm... silly? It felt like a Monty Python minigame. I mostly just enjoyed listening to the queen prattle on.

Leroy Smith's 2 on 2 Hall of Fame Challenge

Image

It's part NBA Jam and part blaxploitation film. The gameplay is a little weak, but the FMV cut scenes will have you laughing.
