yes. Some games like Gauntlet DS, which was never released, has a trade in value.

If somebody manages to find a copy, tell me. I'll give you more than 25 cents for it. :)

Japanese Saturn pad in grey for $10. As far as I can tell, it's a first run. In excellent shape!

The Sequel Run

Back in time for my hunt of some PS2 FPS games to try the Spitfish Edge FX controller on.

All three PS2 games are HDAdvance Compatible!

Time Splitters - $2.99 FREE
http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/time-splitters/4126
From the huge San Jose Gamestop, B2G2F a couple weeks ago. Not one, but two complete Timesplitter cases, cover inserts and manuals sitting in the basket. But no games in the Gamestop yellow envelope disc drawer, two previous customers bought the games without getting the case and manual. The dummies probably did a last minute get a game free when you buy another. No biggy, employee gave me both the cases and manuals free. I got the disc only game at another Gamestop under the B2G2F a couple days later. Volume one intrigued me with a custom level editor.

Time Splitters 2 - $7.99

The second edition, I played this yesterday along with the first one, can't remember which one started in the Egyptian Pyramid.

Time Splitters Future Perfect - $9.99 FREE

Looks like the best of the lot, I shot a buncha invisible wookies in the Desert, love the obligatory heavy gun placement for mowing down everything in sight. With apologies to Star Wars fans, die Chewbaka! Then timesplitted back to World War Two with some English chap. Each level a different enemy, weapon and strategy! I had to enable all three modes using HDAdvance. I'll leave the 3rd volume in the hard drive, get back to it later, more games to test and review.

EDIT UPDATE
Ooookay, now at level three. The World War Two level was pretty good, even operated a crane. A blast riding the back of the truck with a mounted machine gun. Just realized the character in the game looks like Riddick from the Pitch Black movie, almost the same eye protection. The Splitfish Edge FX works like a dream, the mouse really kicks the view around quickly! 8)

The Edge FX "nunchuck" is removable, for a more comfortable position.

This FPS is pretty good, I like it as much as PS2 Black.

Browsed around Goodwill today and found Ecco the Dolphin on Genesis for $5. While the case looks like it has been mauled by a cheetah, the cartridge and manual are in excellent shape.

On another note, I saw a version of Microsoft Office at Goodwill. The fact that it was Microsoft Office didn't surprise me. What surprised me was that 1) it was still sealed and 2) it came on 5 1/4" and 3 1/2" floppy discs. I passed this find up though because I don't have anything that takes a floppy disc anymore.

More Gamestop Invasions

All three PS2 games are HDAdvance compatible!

PS2 Destroy All Humans - $6.99 FREE
http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/destr ... mans/38063
I could not decide between the first "1950s era" or second "1960s era" version. Somehow the Alien invasion seemed better if set in the 1950s, playing homage to all the old sci fi movies. Opening sequence has PK'ing a bunch of cows and flying around in a jet pack aka Grand Theft Andreas. The Flying Saucer is available after a few practice levitations of the cows and farmers. I love maneuvering the Flying Saucer around firing the Heat Ray on the tanks. 8)

I love the 50s movies "Invasion from Outer Space" Flying Saucer sounds! All I need now is a Theremin Instrument. I have not had this much fun with flying discs since Saucer Attack on the C64. :D

PS2 Destroy all Humans 2 - $9.99

Okay I had to get the sequel now set in the 1960s, supposed to have more open ended free roaming. Bah! So far I can only run around, no jet pack and where is the Flying Saucer already! This gets deleted till I complete the first one.

PS2 R Type Final - $2.99
http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/r-type-final/31518
YES YES YES! Not really into Shumps so I passed up on this one a few times. But I found out a unique feature of this game. It is one of only three PS2 games that support the old PSX Flight Stick! I already recently acquired another PSX Flight Stick game: PS2 Extreme G3 from optmusprimenumber. Maybe I don't have to mod my spare PSX Flightstick over to PS2 Analog after all.

Okay after reading that on Wiki, I decided to take a look at the video.
Wait for it, the HUGE Crab Monster Tank hanging upside down at the end.

Image R Type Gameplay

I consider Einhänder one of the best PS1 shumps along with Raiden Project. I think R Type Final carries on the tradition for the PS2 along with Raiden III. :D

Okay a mad retrace my steps hunt to find this game, I did see it complete at one of the Gamestops. Aaaah! My fear is at only $2.99, either it was already sold or Gamestop tossed out the case and maual already. I bee lined a mad dash to the first Gamestop I thought I saw it at a month prior. My very lucky day, that Spaceship in the distinctive yellow cover was still there! The case had an old $5.99 price tag. No kidding, I kissed that cover right in the store! Couple confused onlookers, I was not worried how many grimy hands it passed thru.

Only one more to go to complete the set to three PSX Flight Stick compatible PS2 games.

Note the tag says $5.99, Gamestop did not toss the case and manual out.

Shmup Madness

Look for the Gradius Wallpaper upload at the end of this Reply.

Taking a break from the B2G2F listing, had to jump ahead to one I just bought this morning. A rare find considering the circumstances of this at Gamestop this morning.

PS2 Gradius III and IV - $4.99
http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/gradi ... used/16883
I am not a big fan of Shumps, but I saw this sitting with a stack of under $5.00 games on the counter. The employee was getting ready to pull the yellow disc envelopes and toss the manuals and cases! At just a penny under the five dollar mark this was about to be just a yellow envelope shrouded game.

Both Gradius III and IV are included. Any level can be selected on III. But IV has a couple of nice extra features. First is the continues, but the real treat is back to back bosses level. 8)

Since this game only uses the digital pad, it works great with any Arcade Stick. Oh crap some more Golden Dragons flying out of the shiny globe!

A direct HDAdvance install will not work.To install in the Hard drive the disc must first be made into an ISO with IMG Burn. I also confirmed Raiden III to install this way.

I pulled this artwork from an old shump review site. The pic is no longer there, but the site is still being updated. Some very nice reviews, at the site.
