I remember about 15 years ago I was riding my mountain bike at a good clip on the road when a chipmunk darted out in front of me. Couldn't react fast enough to avoid running over it. Result was a dead chipmunk.

Yeah, it makes everything look plain and two dimensional. However it can produce some really good results like the Tenacious D video for "Classico"* even if cells are a hundred times better.

*The plot on the other hand. Oh god, oh man. What did I just watch?

PD: I know it's like the forbidden fruit but really, think twice before watching it. It's well. It has sex in it. And animals. And...it's weird. Well, perhaps the problem is that it isn't weird enough. What the hell man.

I know. There's was a whole thread about that show a month or so back.

New random thought: UHF is proof that the movie critics don't know what they're talking about. That movie is hilarious, yet it has like a 20 or 30 something critic average on Metacritic. I wish there had been a second Weird Al movie.

Yeah, was more just driving a moderately tired subject into the ground

I have yet to watch any of MLP, although I have lots of friends who are into it. Someday I'll get around to it.

Not if it doesn't come out on DVD. (I assume that since you haven't seen it, you don't have cable.) I hope The Hub turns out to be good about putting their shows on DVD. Not because I want to see MLP, but because I really want to see Dan vs. It sounds like a really great show. Jerks can be hilarious when you are just watching them, instead of dealing with them.

All the episodes are up on YouTube, and most of them are in 1080p. Hasbro/Hub has yet to take them down for the months they have been uploaded. Still, I'm getting Season One of MLP on Blu-Ray when it does come out!

I love this show, if you couldn't tell.

Also, if you're interested in the show, I recommend starting off with episode 16. But, take my advice; skip the opening credits the first time you watch it. I couldn't stand the opening theme song the first time I watched the show, either:

Alright, that was pretty awesome. Frankly not quite as unbelievably epic as many of the fans of the show would have me believe, but still a lot of fun. Thanks for the episode recommendation~

Are... Are we still talking about MLP? I can't tell anymore.

Also, I personally always saw the super-flat 2D flash-esque style as the natural progression of western animation. I actually like it; it looks clean, stylized, and colorful. Sure, the old style is interesting and great in it's own right, and I think that there will always be shows that use it, but in the here and now, I would have to say I prefer the new style.

Finally, I'm glad you liked the show, CFB! There are plenty more episodes, if you're still interested. Episode 11 is probably my second-favorite one, so that's my recommendation to try next.
