Oh hey, the obligatory POS post from Inazuma.
I think it's worth considering how much of an impact Bin Ladin had in the U.S. decisions to go to war in the middle east. I know he was a strong factor in the invasion of Iraq. I don't really remember much about Afghanistan.

Then on December 26, 2001, Fox News reported on a Pakistan Observer story that the Afghan Taliban had officially pronounced Osama Bin Laden dead earlier that month. According to the report, he was buried less than 24 hours later in an unmarked grave in accordance with Wahabbist Sunni practices.
In September 2006, French intelligence leaked a report suggesting Osama had died in Pakistan.
So...you're trusting FOX (which is never to be trusted), Al-Jazeera (which may have been in cahoots with bin Laden to get those videos that boosted viewership), and the French. Uh...
Who is in control and what the hell have they done to the world?

BOO!!! TOO SOON MAN TOO SOON.

I think most people dont want to be reminded of losing their info so soon after it happened.

I'm really kinda shocked that I'm the first too soon in this thread. Nothing funnier then a good too soon.

Dude, it's been more than a week. "Too soon" in Sony's case is before it even happened.

Oh hey, the obligatory POS post from Inazuma. Didn't see that coming. I thought that maybe we were having too many educated and rational opinions, though. Thanks for filling that inane statement quota we all look to you to satisfy.

One thing that is striking me as a real double edged sword is the decision to bury the body at sea. On the one hand, it's a smart idea as there is no reason to assume that Mohammed ever saw the sea - so there's not really anything in the Q'ran to dictate the appropriateness of a burial at sea. That's less for the Islamic extremist world to get upset about.

On the other hand...wow. Talk about fodder for the conspiracy theory crowd. I can't even blame the guys who want to see boogie monsters in the dark for latching on to that one. That's on par with NASA deleting the Apollo 11 telemetry or the Secret Service cleaning the limo Kennedy was assassinated in before forensics specialists looked at it.
That's so true, I tend to keep up with most conspiracy theories. Whether or not I believe in them. Well....I won't touch on that right now. I do know this will cause a shit storm among conspiracy theorists though, absolutely. You'll be seeing conspriacy theories about this all over the net along with the Michael Jackson was assasinated by the ruling elite stories. I find conspiracy theorists interesting. Some of their ideas are bat shit insane, but occasionally I read one that doesn't seem that far fetched. You'll never see me join some conspiracy theory group, but I keep an open mind

But today, fuck it; I'm glad he's dead. I know it's wrong to feel this way; I'm still glad he's dead. I know it won't end any wars; I know it won't bring peace; I know it won't bring back his victims; I'm still glad he's dead.

Maybe I'll start feeling sorry tomorrow; today I'm glad he's dead.
I actually agree with everything said in this post. Fuck him. I hate murderous religious crusaders. People like him have been causing wars, violence and death for centuries

Just to clear up any misunderstandings. I don't believe that 9/11 was an inside job, nor do I believe that it was done by terrorists. I don't know for sure either way. I don't instantly believe everything that the media or government tells me. The government, media and everything else for that matter, are controlled by the major corporations and other people with tons of money and power. We Americans are told that we have freedom, rights and a say in how the country is run but that's not actually the case.

Americans are raised to think and act in a specific way. They want us to be smart enough to work and pay taxes but dumb enough so we lack the ability to think for ourselves and use logic. The education system is this country is bad by design.

Wars are good for the world leaders in a few ways. One, they help keep us fighting amongst ourselves. Many Americans hate other countries because that's how we were told to think. Since we are too busy fighting amongst ourselves, there is less chance for mankind to come together and start fighting back against the evil corrupt leaders.

Another reason why wars are so great is they are very helpful in eroding our freedoms. Most Americans won't hesitate to give up freedoms if it's in the name of safety. You want to travel on that airplane? Well, we are gonna have to take a look at your naked body and go through your luggage. Oh, we also need to scan your laptop for copyright infringement and child porn.

And the last reason why wars are so great for the world leaders is money. They can make a ton of money from selling all of the various weapons and equipment needed. How come massive conflicts aren't decided by a game of Chess or Soccer? There isn't much money there. Billion dollar equipment is much more lucrative. Plus when people are actually dying, it makes people take it much more seriously. That's important too.

OK guys. It's time to call Inazuma an asshole again. Don't disappoint me.

Actually, I was just thinking how much you echo Carlin and Bill Hicks. I actually agree with some of those points, just as I agree with Carlin and Hicks on certain things.

Yup. Other than the massive generalizations that all "Americans are raised to think and act in a specific way" I can get on board with most of what you are saying here, Izzy. You do much better when you leave yourself wiggle room (e.g. "Many Americans hate other countries").
