I'm hearing mixed things on cause of death, but the consistent detail is our spec ops troops were able to kill him and retrieve the body.YoshiEgg25 wrote:From what I've gathered from the major news sites, he was killed by a bomb last week, and a DNA test confirmed it was him.final fight cd wrote:wasn't he thought to be dead before?

so we have his body.
what do they do with it now? i guessing they won't be doing a proper burial that respects his culture.

Anyways, I have to say I'm quite glad that someone who has been instrumental in killing innocent people on more than one occasion to get his points across is gone.

Yeah, ABC and NBC have said that this was a ground operation, and he was killed in a mansion just outside Islamabad, Pakistan. He was shot and the body was recovered, with his DNA being matched.
The president's just started speaking, and he's just confirmed bin Laden is dead.

I enlisted immediately after 9/11 and spent the better part of five years fighting every evil idea this man and his cohorts stood for. I couldn't stay to see it finished but I, for one, feel absolutely no shame in saying I'm glad he's dead and I hope he rots in hell.

He has non-terrorist family. They'll probably give it to them after parading him around a bit to convince the middle eastern world he's dead.final fight cd wrote:so we have his body.

I think that more important than Bin Laden's death is to know how many other died in the strikes. Particularly how many noncombatants.
