What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

The seller already got back to me and offered me half the purchase cost back. It's better than I expected.

I think I'm going to assume Hobie's method from now on.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Saturn and SCD games need to be shipped in cardboard boxes, not envelopes of any kind.

Agreed. This is a great example of where Ebay is not getting the job done. You can't limit shipping for Saturn/SCD/Long Box PS1 titles to only $4 and expect to get the product there safely.

I try to always buy in bulk so that I can get the seller to ship in a box without eating into their profit margin. This one time I took a chance and bought a single, using the sellers feedback rating as my guide. I already emailed the seller and explained the importance of boxes, bubble wrap, and putting filler inside the box to keep the disc on the spool. Hopefully they listen.

I spent $60 on a CIB copy of Dragon Force a few years ago and was pretty nervous about the case getting wrecked. I usually e-mail the seller and explain how important it is that nothing is damaged when I buy stuff like that. Luckily he took what I said into consideration and shipped it in an oversize bubble mailer.

What Ticked Me Off:

The woman in the tire department of the local walmart refusing to check the torque on the lug nuts of my honda. She is the service manager.

All she ever had to do was ask and I'd put gas in no problem. I've done it that way with every other ride I've had and she knows this.
Your Aunt is right. You should have put gas in her truck without her asking you to request it. It's the least you can do.

And you feel this justifies blowing me off completely without a word, giving me zero chance to arrange another way to work? It's probably worth mentioning that almost every time she's ever taken me to work, I've been late.

Of course I'm willing to pay for gas, but when your ride shows up at 10:50 when you have to be at work by 11, offering to pay for gas is something that kinda slips your mind. I don't carry cash on me either.

Hey, it could be worse. I had so many sick days and snow days I didn't get a spring break at all this year.
