UPDATE:

The first Gaming Through the Ages Video can now be seen on the blog. Essentially it's a short video to draw attention to the benefits of the Dreamcast VGA cable.

Unfortunately, I had to use pretty crap-tastic equipment, so the quality is below what I wanted. I had to doll up a shitty old PC mic with half a plastic Subway cup, a pen, duct tape, and a legging to reach anywhere near decent sound quality, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Anyway, it can be checked out here if anyone's interested:

Thanks for the compliment! A lot of people seem to be enjoying it, which has really been inspiring me to pour some more time into the thing. I'm genuinely having a lot of fun coming up with articles.

UPDATE

Due to the surprising popularity of my Ideal Collection - SNES article I decided to throw up an Ideal Collection - Sega CD article. What can I say, people just seem to love reading lists. Here's a link for anyone interested:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the blog. I was debating putting both of them on there, as well as some of the upraded Genesis games like Earthworm Jim, The Amazing Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin, and Ecco the Dolphin, but I was trying to keep the list as small as I could and only include the one's that I'm really yearning to play lately. I'm probably going to end up doing short little updates to the articles as I play or even hear about games that I find so fun or am so intrigued by that I want them in my collection as well.

SOME NEW UPDATES:

Alright so I'm trying some things out and am hoping to get some feedback. Sort of experimenting with the Blog a lot right now.

1. Trying out advertisements. (may be temporary)

First of all, I'm tentatively trying out adsense. So far my views have not gone down since the addition which is a good sign. If it turns out to not be worth it, then it will be removed. I'm still in the process of figuring out how to keep the ads blended into the design and keep them all relevant. I don't want the ads to detract from the content, if they do that then they're going to annoy me and I'll just remove them (There's a couple already that I'm trying to prevent from reappearing). I want my content at the forefront of this thing because I genuinely enjoy doing this the ads could provide both a means and a strong motivation to do it more.

2. Trying short impressionistic quick-to-produce Let's Playish videos.

Essentially, I pop in a game and discuss my feelings towards it as I play the first few minutes. I'm trying out this format because it feels more personable by being unscripted and ideally I would like anyone reading my blog to feel like they're getting to know me and can talk to me. I do not edit out mistakes or flubs, but I try my best to avoid them. I do like the naturalistic feel of the unscripted thoughts, but want to hear what others think. The first one is of Astyanax for the NES and is up on the blog:

If you guys have any advice, suggestions, etc. please feel free to share your opinions with me.
