So far there have been half a million people assaulted by our government because of drugs. Legalization would absolutely change that.
Decriminalizing marijuana would create less of a legal and penal burden on strictly marijuana users and growers, but criminals would probably ramp up production of hard drugs to make up for the loss, so in theory legalizing weed would create more meth labs and crack heads.

My solution is simple. Decriminalize and regulate pot, and heavily regulate cocaine imports and make it only legally available under strict conditions, because the demand is going to be there across all social strata, and can be used responsibly in moderation. Everything else considered extremely addictive and socially destructive, smack, meth, crack, KFC Double Down sandwiches.... 3 strikes and you face decades of hard labor in prison factories, producing goods to be sold to offset the taxpayers burden of incarceration.
Perfect! Why hasn't this been done in the US? Canada is closer to this, but still not there yet (stupid conservative gov't...).

I prefer Singapore's approach.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think you missed the point of my comments.

First, you wrote, "Pulling all forces back to the US would be a stupid move. If we do that, then our enemies will come over here to fight us."

My point in mentioning Libya was that the United States gets involved in a lot of overseas military action in and against countries that simply would not attempt to "come over here and fight us" either because they have their own problems to deal with or they completely lack the means.

am i still the only person that still thinks mcain would be better in office?

i mean cmon he was a pow so that makes me feal that he would have actually made an effort to close gitmo.
he would have made more of an effort to pull forces back to the usa and not send out more like obama.

i dont vote and dont associate myself with either political party i just have a feeling that if mcain were in office this country would be better off, and every time i bring this up people just talk about what mcain said while he was running for office. which doesn't really hold up in an argument for obama because look at what obama said he would do. has anyone seen any change? and every single last politician says they will do things that they know they cant when running for office just to get votes and people forget that every election

its still privatise the gains and make the public take the losses.

No, I would have preferred McCain too.

You don't need to associate yourself with a party. Why not vote for an independent candidate? Also, I don't now how it works in the US, but in Canada you can "spoil your vote" by marking your vote ballot incorrectly. They count spoiled votes, so people sometimes do this on purpose as a way to say that "I still voted, but did not like any of the candidates." At least it still lets your voice be heard a little bit. If everyone who didn't like any of the candidates did that instead of not voting, the message would be a lot louder.

In before the news networks comment on the racial implications of Obama bringing up Tupac and Biggie.

I think he should have done it several years ago and nipped this in the bud.
