Awesome thanks! I do have the black duo.

You are right, the music is so great. Im taking my time going through the lot i bought, so the only super cd games i have played so far are lords of rhunder and shapeshifter. Both have excellent music!

Picked up Aero Fighters 3 and Strikers 1945 plus for MVS recently so those have been getting a lot of play.

Just played this yesterday for the first time. Good lord is this game sweet.

One weird thing though, my Duo is outputting much lower sound than any other system I have, including the core tg16. The Av's seem to be fine, and if I turn my tv up to max it sounds pretty good, but its still kinda frustrating.

Speaking of sound, I think Lords of Thunder may have my favorite sound track for a shmup (which is saying a lot)

I still have to try out Terraforming and Air Zonk xD

Awww yeah! LoT is easily one of the best shmups of the 16-bit era, and I'd say it even holds up well as one of the greatest shmups in the history of the genre. Funny thing is that it got ported to Sega CD and ended up strictly worse. I had to rip all the music tracks into mp3s for easy consumption when not gaming.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

LoT is usually what I pick when trying to convert friends to the Turbo side, and their jaws drop when they hear the killer music

I have Lords of Thunder on Virtual Console, and the music is still really quiet. The sound effects are really damn loud though. Shame you can't adjust the balance.

Checked out the Soldier series on the PCE. Soldier Blade is probably my favorite, awesome music and graphics, really cool boss designs, etc, great stuff. Star Soldier and Super Star Soldier seem quite a bit tougher.
