I agree, really a treat. Is it just me or is Chapter 7 pretty tricky? I'm just about finished with the game.
I had more trouble with chapter 8 myself. But some of the non-chamber areas in 7 were indeed tricky for me.

Who's beaten this game already? I've been pacing myself so I can really enjoy it, and I've gotta say, it's one of the best games I've recently bought. It's been a while since I felt the $60 bucks spent was worth every penny.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, but I just think the story was beautifully told, and just like the first Portal, I was really amazed. Definitely on my list for one of my favorites.

Okay, it may be great, but it's certainly too early to be thinking about GOTY.

I meant so far this year, But yeah  Valve just blows my mind away. I'm not looking forward to many other games this year though. All I can think of a the moment is Battlefied 3.

Way too short and way too easy. I can't believe Valve are charging full price for it. I had one single chamber that stumped me, and even then it only took a further 15-20 minutes of thinking time. All the other chambers were solved instantly. The solutions were so ridiculously easy that if you got stuck anywhere for longer than 10 minutes then you must not be very bright. £40 for a 5 hour game? Pathetic. The original Portal was longer...

Valve is actually my favorite game company. They may not release stuff very fast, but it's always AAA quality. Even Nintendo can't claim that, as good as they are. I'm eagerly awaiting Portal 2's price drop. (I'm never paying launch price for a Valve product again, not after how fast the Orange Box dropped in price after I bought it.)
