OMG! I forgot I even did that! I was 12, at my grand parent's house with my spare/broken Nintendo I left there (cover off so I could run a screwdriver over the exposed contact pins to get to secret levels in SMB1) and had just rented Battletoads. My little brother and I had just gotten to the hoverbike level for the 4th time and needed a break so I hit pause.
"Wow!" *cranks the volume knob on the 14" TV we're playing it on in the basement* "LISTEN to THAT!"
We left it cranked for about 15 minutes drinking grape kool-aid until my grandpa came down and said "What's that noise? Is something broken?"
