Mario and Luigi's last name is Gambino?

Nono, Gambino was just the first Italian last name that spring to mind. But for the title to make sense you would say Super *lastname* brothers. Not the first name of the first brother. Like saying Tom Bros instead of Smothers Brothers or Jake Brothers instead of Blues Brothers

I thought that their names were Mario Mario and Luigi Mario. This is hard not to read as a joke, but I'm serious. I really thought that.

Considering that's exactly how they explained it in the live action movie I don't see why it'd be unusual to think that.

I'd heard that too (not having seen the movie), but I've also heard that's not true as well.

Believe it or not, it's a fighting game on the Neo-Geo / MVS, made by developer ADK, which explains the horribly bad name - (Aggressors of Dark Kombat, get it?)
Not bad - think Power Moves/Deadly Moves, but better graphics and with weapons and interactive environments. Also, Fuuma from fellow ADK title World Heroes is a playable character, and if you ever played NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and wondered what game Kisarah came from, it's this one!
