I really don't give a damn about the Playoffs since the Bucks aren't in it.
But meh, I'll take the Pacers to win it all.

Re: 2011 NBA Thread
Eastern Conference:
#1 Bulls vs. #8 Pacers Bulls in 4
Bulls are red hot, and Derrick Rose always gets his revenge. With the Pacers winning their last meeting (the only loss the Bulls had to a Central Division foe this season), I can see Rose stepping up to get the sweep.
#2 Heat vs. #7 76ers Heat in 6
I don't think this will be an easy series for the Heat. The Sixers are a well-coached squad that's played their hearts out, and though I think the Heat will get through, they're going to have to fight for it.
#3 Boston vs. #6 Knicks Celtics in 5
The Knicks have been extremely streaky lately, with them losing 9 of 10, winning seven straight, and now losing two, including the last game of the season to the Celtics. I'm going to say they're on the bad side of a streak. Boston's not looking good, but they have enough to get by.
#4 Magic vs. #5 Hawks Hawks in 7
That's right, I'm picking the Hawks. My reasoning? The Hawks are 3-1 vs. the Magic this year, with their latest win coming on March 30th.
Western Conference:
#1 Spurs vs. #8 Grizzles Spurs in 7
The Spurs will win the series, but the hot Grizz will give them quite a scare.
#2 Lakers vs. #7 Hornets Lakers in 5
The biggest question is: will the Lakers' recent skid carry over to the playoffs? If so, the Hornets have a shot.
#3 Dallas vs. #6 Blazers Blazers in 7
Nowitzki can't carry the Mavs past the blazin' Blazers by himself. Aldridge and Roy are going to run the Portland show into L.A.
#4 Thunder vs. #5 Nuggets Thunder in 7
This series could go from the Thunder winning in five to the Nuggets winning in five. It's that close. I'm going to hold with OKC though, as I think that the addition of Kendrick Perkins is just enough to beat the very talented team from Denver.

If the Blazers, Hawks, or Nuggets advance into the second round, I wouldn't be completely shocked.
I also just heard Manu Ginobili is doubtful for game one against Memphis which could be huge for the Grizz. I don't think Memphis will win the series, but I think they can make it interesting.

Holy shit what a game! Bulls take the first lead in the game with a minute left in the 4th. Rose drops 39 and now the Bulls are up 1-0

Re: 2011 NBA Thread
I wouldn't sell the Nuggets too short yet. Oklahoma is explosive, but the Nuggets are well-balanced (as long as everyone's healthy). I do hope Atlanta pulls a 7-game series against Orlando like they did against Boston a few years back.Metal Militia wrote:If the Blazers, Hawks, or Nuggets advance into the second round, I wouldn't be completely shocked.
Hm. I might have to go bar-hopping to catch the Knicks-Celtics game. (I'm a bit pessimistic on the Knicks though; the Celtics aren't getting any younger, but New York relies too much on 'Melo.)
The NBA is reporting that ratings are up this year; always a good sign to see more people watching.
Edit: Holy crap. This was not like any post-season I can remember. Seriously, NO blow-out games? Multiple top-seeds losing game 1? (Dammit Ray Allen, stop being open all the time.)

The Bulls better get their act together or they wont make it past the second round. The MVP cant keep winning games by himself.
Also, lets go OKC!

Yeah true that. Game 3 tonight at Conseco Fieldhouse will tell us a lot about this Bulls team.Bradtemple87 wrote:The Bulls better get their act together or they wont make it past the second round. The MVP cant keep winning games by himself.

Superduck! The Knicks look to be swept in the first round due to injuries to virtually all its starters. (Fields a rookie and they never had a consistent center.)
