I wanna finish my playthrough on 360 first, I'm pretty close to the end.

Brad, I feel like a douche. Sorry I told you I would hit you up for some play time last month, but it's been hard to find time to play through multi-player lately. I just got back from tour (this morning at 6am  ). I'll add you to my friend's list now for 360.

so last week when BB was having their B1G1 50% sale, I grabbed Earth Defense Force, and used the 50% to grab Borderlands. For a long time I thought Borderlands looked really cool. I figured I'd finally be able to play some online with the rest of you. But first, I'd have to play some single-player to get the hang of it. As some of you know, I'm really not an experienced FPS player, save for old school Wolf, Doom, and recently Duke 3D and Dark Forces.

Anyway. I started it up. First impresion: the game looks phenomenal. I really like the cell-shaded look of everything. I find that a lot more appealing than most any other current gen FPS's look.

but second impression: I'm horrible at this game. And I don't feel much motivated to get any better. Y'know something? I genuinely don't think I like FPS games save for those rare late mid-to-late 90's ones mentioned above. I just don't think I find it an enjoyable genre. I guess I figured Borderlands would be the sort of game to kind of get me interested, but still. Not really. Just a good looking game that I don't think I find all that fun.

PS, it has nothing to do with not using keyboard/mouse. I was never good with keyboard/mouse, even having been first introduced to FPS via keyboard/mouse in Wolf3D and Doom. Once I was able to afford a PC gamepad back then, I never looked back.

I don't know. I'll probably give it another spin before deciding to add it to my FS/FT list... but as it stands now, I doubt I'm going to grow to really enjoy it. Which means the chances of me enjoying Unreal Tournament III are probably even less likely. :|

Not sure about that...UT3 is much more frantic and Doom-like than Borderlands.
