Adoption rates mean nothing, 200k or so is still just 200k or so and that's worldwide! It's Capcom trying to screw the franchise over. As far as MegaMan is concerned he's now Capcom's Sonic, not a true mascot just a face on a company.
How many people IRL do you know with a 3DS? If you can't name 4-8 then it's not common enough to make anything succeed yet.
