Audino-grinding. Twice the turnout with half the work. There's a nice patch outside Opelucid perfect for preparing for the E4 with.

Yeah, I tried to minimise the audino grinding. I fought a few earlier in the game and spent the entire game outlevelling the gym leaders. I didn't want to make it even easier than it already was.

And man, it didn't. The bosses best pokemon wiped the floor with me for a bit, it took a lot of luck and some hyper potion spam to stall him out long enough to win.

Haha, I leveled all my Pokemon to Lv54 before I battled the elite 4, although this took me about a week. This made the elite 4 a breeze, I think only 2 Pokemon fainted throughout the first 4.

I got him at start and I have found him useful ingame, he is fast and has a nice movepool (as of level 25). I also named him "Harrier", and that alone makes him awesome.

He is also good when it comes to competitive but that's another matter.

Chikorita was probably the worst in-game one, since it was a defensive pokémon and his typing was bad for most gyms.

I just beat the Electric gym with a lot of hard work. My Pokes were around level 20 and I had nothing to resist Electric/Flying so I took a lot of damage. After getting owned one time and haxed another I bought a lot of potions and got my Servine to +6 Special Attack so it could just plow through those goddamed flying rats.

I guess I should look for some Audino to train, I have yet to see one

Yeah, Emolga is a bitch. I got a Dwebble and used Smack Down on them, then did on of three things:
1. Used Smack Down again (super-effective plus STAB, though you can see if you can beat it again with it that turn).
2. Used Dig (more super-effective).
3. Switched out to Sandile and used Dig (super-effective plus STAB).

The electric gym was pretty easy for me. My pokes were about the same level as the leader and I had both a drilbur and a palpitoad at the time.

Yeah I did a lot of grinding before facing the Elite 4. The Lucky Egg also helps since it gives your Pokemon more experience. I would just have the Pokemon I was leveling up hold the Lucky Egg and it would gain a level in no time.

I just caught Volcarona and that thing is a fucking beast. His Special Attack is Godly and the one I caught had a Modest Nature (Raises SP Attack, Lowers Attack) so he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Also 4 more levels until my Zweilious evolves into Hydreigon!!!!!! (My favorite Pokemon of this generation)

Yeah, Hydreigon is amazing; it's stats are very impressive O.o Also, I'm planning to pick up Black since I want to play the game again using different Pokemon.

People have been complaining about Elesa and her squad of etrollgas, but I actually one-shot her Zebstrika and then the Emolgas kept switching into each other without causing much trouble.

So I went ahead and bought Pokemon Black when it came out, it's been awhile since I played Pokemon. Thought I'd give it a quick go.
